Wow, am away for a few days and this thread speeds by.

I weighed Sofia yesterday and she is 4.390kg, she is gaining weight so much quicker than Maria did at the same age.

Sooooooo p!ssed with DH right now I can't even think! At about 7pm Olivia started screaming her head off for half an hour to 45 minutes (her leg has become a bit red and inflamed from the injections) while I tried to soothe her. I tried changing her, then gave her a bath, sat and rocked her, walked and rocked her, gave her some panadol and put a cold flannel on her sore leg. THEN dh come out of the bedroom (where he was napping after a hard day of playing computer games and could hear what was going on perfectly well) and says 'everything alright', I replied with 'no, she has been crying for ages and you just left me to it' to which he said 'and what did you do about it'. WHAT DID I DO ABOUT IT!!!!! At least I was trying. ***** I was/am really annoyed. Probably doesn't sound like a big deal but ahhhhhhhhhh!

    Sorry just needed to vent.

Olivia has settled now. Been very clingy though and took ages to go into the bassinette, just wanted to cuddle on the couch. Oh yeah and in the process of doing that I spilled coke all over my cream couch - any ideas on how to get it out? Needs proper cleaning anyway but...

Tomorrow can only be better right?

Needles, stupid DH and spills on the couch - yep things can only get better tomorrow.

Whenever DH can not settle Sofia or he is too slack to really try he always says she is hungry - ****es me of endlessly, like have you checked her nappy, could she have wind, does she just want a cuddle from Daddy because at the end of the day mummy is a little cranky at times - anyone else have a clueless DH at times?

Oh yeah Louise that is DH's solution to every cry - She must be hungry. He thinks if she opens her mouth she wants food. Thing is she loves chatting and half the time is trying to talk to him and he want to put the bottle in her mouth!

Grrr should go to bed, I am really cranky already and lack of sleep isn't going to help.

Well here I am sitting up with Flynn again. You girls might have sleepless newborns - I have a sleepless toddler Little bugger is talking to himself.....

Nic try as I might I can't get pics to upload They are so cute too!!

Louise and Alicia you both sound tired I am pretty lucky in that DH is pretty good with settling both boys but then he has been a SAHD so is a bit more in tune IYKWIM? I hope you both get some relief soon.

Puts hand up here. My DP is pretty clueless when it comes to babies too. If Abbey cries then yep, give her boob. He rarely checks her nappy, although after me going off at him for it is getting slowly better. He cannot hold Abbey for more than 2 minutes (seriously) without her starting to scream. Does my head in.

On an upside. Abbey put herself to sleep on the lounge lastnight. I had fed her and just lay her down there as it was cooler than our room and she went to sleep after about 30 minutes of chatting to herself. That was around 10.30 and she woke up at....... 6.30 this morning. Boobies are way too full. She kept slipping off when she had a feed. Poor thing.

Best go. Noah's FIRST day at school. WOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO

trish- lol at you filling up Abbey and driving like mad, i can really picture it in cartoon detail. your house sounds like a madhouse, any tips on staying sane when the kids act up?
bek- how is sara going? have you noticed any naughty behaviour start (or stop) since Loren came along ?(tell me it stops! please say it's a short phase). how are you liking being back at work?
haroula- not going to mothers group, i hope you get enough support and otherr ways to get out of the house. i would be lost without my weekly playgroup to go to.
alicia your house sounds pretty difficult too. is it nice to have DH home sick with you?
michelle - your girls are gorgeous! i'll give the soap alternative stuff a go, thanks for the advice.

all you girl with the babies that sleep 11 to 6 ish... how i envy u! i have no idea how many hours Mylo sleeps for, but i know i'm up at least half the night then its the morning shift and i always get peed on in those s0-tired -cant -see-straight nappy changes in the wee hours. (peed on in the wee hours heheh). i sort of feel alright after a bit of being awake, but i suspect it's false alertness covering a deep overtiredness. i'm watching to see if i start pulling my ears, rubbing my eyes.

my dh is really good about weight comments - being indonesian he is from a culture where ppl will say, wow you're fat now..havent' you got fat? even strangers; it's really normal. he's SO different to that, doesn't do any of the normal cultural things that would drive me insane if i married a typical indonesian. (ie act all jealous and obsess about who i see/talkto/sms in order to show he cares). i am so lucky! He tells me i look sexier everyday (possibly coz he's hornier than usual and has to take all the iniative/create all the moods for ML as my libido is on hold thanks to bf hormones). even if it's bull****,(sexyness) i love him for it.

oh god what a night!! Olivia was great. Woke at 9 and was back down at 10 and slept till 4 ish. I just moved to the end of the bed and fed her. A few minutes later my cat my OUTSIDE cat is rubbing against my legs.. I didn't really think about how she got in as I thought maybe she snuck in before I locked up BUT I locked up before DH went to work!!!!! So I lay Olivia on my bed and go put the car out only to find my back door wide open ...... It was locked when I went to bed as I checked it.. So I grabbed the butter knife off the bench and went and turned on every light even in the kids room and checked to make sure they were ok. I was freaking.. I grabbed my mobile so I could ring DH if neccessary!! I ended up getting Olivia and sitting in the lounge till nearly 5. My eyes were hanging out of my head .. I rechecked the house and went and lay back down and eventually fell asleep but I tell ya my heart was beating very fast.. Still don't know how the door was opened...

Then my walk this morning omg,.. why do I bother.. on the bright side it was just me who got flustered but once we got into the groove of walking we were fine... but still

Will come back soon and do personals

nic-sorry to hear you are feeling down, it all gets too much sometimes, doesn;t it. i only have two kids but some days i'm just over being cried at, having demands on me, having to do everything and being the target of the naughty monster. it's not nice to be grumpy mummy, but that said i think your concerns sound valid- you need all the support yr dh can give (and thensome).

today olly is in childcare, DH is home sick, so its been an easy morning for me. all i had to do was make one person's lunch/snax (not 2) and take olly to daycare inthe car (without loading/unloading Mylo and dropping dh at work). i got back to see father and son asleep, chest to chest on the bed. sweet. and my house has no naughty monster! i'm SO relieved to have a break from olly, i feel almost guilty. it's a giddy, drunk feeling to not have to contend with his behaviour all day. lately he's been driving me up the wall- he finds ways to monopolise my attention all day long. he cries at the drop of a hat, or to ask for something, or because i have my hands full and cant play with him continually. he breaks things and makes a mess and generally does whatever will **** me off. i try not reacting but i'm so grumpy by the end of the day i've no patience left for mylo when he exercises his right to have a little cry for no reason.
i love my son but some moments of the day i dont like him much. i want the old olly back! help. can someone tell me this too will pass??

what a day, I think the kids are just over tired from being away from home, at least Maria has childcare tomorrow. Talking about CC, we have decided to take Maria out of it. They had agreed to let her stay 1 day a week until my maternity leave finishes in September and we could afford the $75 a week, but now I have been informed that this is against policy and she has to be in 2 days a week. For $150 I could be doing lots of activities an once a fortnight/month put the kids in occasional care instead. She has learnt so much from CC, but she can also learn this from playgroup/library reading sessions/kindagym/swimming lessons as well. - Hope I am doing the right thing.

CC is so expensive isn't it!!

I am thinking I seriously need to go to Playgroup but I am not one of those mums kwim? the mums here are so different to me and I dunno. It just isn't me!!

The boys have been really good today so I am putting it down to our walk.. I am going to try get out of the house for a walk every day. It is a good way for me to lose weight too

Now any tips on how to get a 2 yr old to wear shoes and a hat??

    morning ladies...

    Hope you are all well!

CC is so expensive, that's one reason that at the moment i wouldn't return to work.. would offset whatever i made anyway!

Louise - do whatever you feel is "right" in your heart to do! and you will never regret it!!

Lara - hope it gets better for you!! kids!!

nic - Did you work out what happened with the door..???? how scary!!! may DH left it open?! i would have been beside myself also!!!

alicia - i would have kicked him!!

DH aint too bad with Chrissie,.. i must say he's been real good at settling her when i'm just too tired or frustrated,... they have a "connection" already which is awesome and he sings a little song to her and she falls asleep all snuggled up to him! it's really nice to watch! ...He wont change a nappy though!!

No I didn't work it out. the door was locked and shut jjust after DH left for work so it wasn't him.. tonight I am locking it before he goes and he can watch then Iwill take the key out and out it on the fridge. then I will stick smething in front of both doors that will make a noise if someones opens them lol..

As for dh and setting. I don't know whats up with my dh lately. He has always been pretty hands on with the kids but with Olivia she just won't settle for him wellnot for anyone really which kinda makes him feel better but still. Like yesterday afternoon she was crying and I was doing something and picked her up after I yelled to him to do so he thinks I should let her cry for a while so she gets used to me not running to her.. DUH. I don't have a problem with that when it is neccessary but if someone is sitting right next to a crying baby pick them up GRRR.. anyways he just sits there he doesn't try anything. I say change her position.. anything. oh I already have is the usual answer.. *sigh* so i have to stop what I am doing and take her and of course as soon as she sees me she stops. Maybe he feels a little put out as the boys always settled for both of us.. I keep telling him the more he tries the more she will get used to him when she is upset.. As for baths and nappies.. dOn't even get me started. That drives me nuts.. I hate having to ask.. BOTH parents should just change without having the other one to ask kwim? but on the other hand he is great with the boys and almost all the time knows what to do when.. Only thing that bugs me with them is he won't bath them when "I" want it done.. While it might seem selfish it puts the whole night out if it isn't done by a certain time...

Well I had a good day today.. Isaac and jacob were so much happier. which in turn made me happier.

Trish: how did Noah go today??

    Rory and Alicia.. Great pics

Lauren: Wait till he does it when you are lining up with your groceries. they can't get you out fast enough

I had a slightly stressful afternoon here. Ethan has just started riding to and from school without me. I walk some of the way but get him to go on ahead without me ( he rides with 3 other kids. a Boy 9 and girls 10 and 12) anyways he got to school fine BUT this afternoon..

Simon and I waited at the park with camera in hand to take pics of our big boy riding home alone.. Only to be still waiting at 3:20.. I started t get worried so Simon jumped in the car and went to see where they were. you can see most of thr path from the road.. Anyways. he comes bac still no Ethan. So he goes to the school then home then to his mates place then back to me.. by now I just want to be sick. I am feeling so guilty for giving Ethan this freedom and thinking something had happened to my baby. I am standing there waiting.. Other kids go by from schools further away yet still no Ethan or the other 3.. Finally..... at 3:45 I see Ethan coming.. it was a long story as to why they were late but I was so scared. I swear between the door last night and Ethan being late today my nerves cant take it..

tomorrow I am walking half way to meet them.. It isn't very far from the park to the school but still..
