Misty, congrats on Jelly's first tooth. Good luck with the uni results - I admire you studying with a new baby! Hard work.

Laura, I read also that a baby should sit unsupported before going on solids. That was in my favourite book by this woman who takes a yoga (yogic??) approach. I just love her as what she says always make sense. The reason she gave for the sitting is that this shows that a baby's muscles and hence the digestive system is strong enough to digest solids properly. Anyway, I've disregarded that advice a little bit as Clarrie is not really sitting unsupported (only for about 10 seconds) but oh well.... He is loving his porridge.

We've hired a vaporiser for his room as he has this barky cough. The doc. had said there was no infection but the cough is still there in the AM and PM mainly. I've been thinking about a naturopath. Will see how the varporiser thingy goes.

Big news - John has handed in his resignation at work from end of August. Then he'll work on finishing off the house, including our extension, and also looking after Clarrie when I go back to work 3 days from january. So we'll be skint. No overseas holiday, alas  You guys will just have to tell me all about it.

Are we all having the 6 month blues re. what we look like. LOL. I tell you, I look like such a dag. Even my mum made fun of my colour coordination, and that is getting bad!! Time to get my act together and stop throwing on whatever comes to hand.

Lisa, look forward to hearing about part 2 of the course.

Gotta go as tea is ready, Julie
