Bel - don't worry, my cycle is a mess. I have PCOS, when that was diagnosed years ago I was told the chances of me falling pg naturally were practically nil. (PCOS causes you to have hardly any periods and very rarely, if at all, ovulate). Anyway, all 3 of my kids were conceived naturally (plus there was a pg after I had Cooper that I lost). I've heard soooooo many stories of people having IVF etc and then falling pg naturally afterwards. So don't give up hope. Just try naturally and see what happens. Actually, don't really "try" so to speak, because it usually happens when you least expect it.

Anyway, my cycle has been all over the place, I'd get a period, it would stop for a few days, come back for a few more, then it would be 5 weeks and I'd get another...then I'd get it for a couple of weeks..then I'd think it had stopped only to have it come back a week later. I did ring my Ob's and the nurse there said wait and see what several cycles do, if they don't go back to normal to go in and see them. Would be hard in your case though with only one child and being told to have a hysterectomy. Could you go on the pill for a little while? Just so you can have a break from your period or at least normal periods for a while?

Linds - that's so sad about the dog. We got a dog from PAWS a couple of years ago, gorgeous little thing, but it started to get really possessive of me and doing weird things like taking a dump in the middle of the kids room (as if to say "I want your mum to myself, here's what I think of you kids). Anyway, she snapped at DH one day (just like a warning thing, he tried to get him off the lounge) and he said if he ever snapped at the kids, he was out of here. Of course one day the dog snapped at Riley and he was only 2 at the time, he didn't have the reflexes to move his hand, so it actually bit him. Not a savage bite, was like a warning snap but it still hurt Riley and scared him. So I rang up PAWS and told them they'd have to take the dog as we couldn't keep him. So the woman just said to me "You'll have to retrain the dog and teach the boys to be dominant over him". How do you teach a 2 year old to be dominant over a dog? Anyway, they took the dog back and he got adopted out again which made me feel a bit better. I was so upset when he had to go but I didn't want to risk my kids being bitten again.

Makenzie has a cold as well. She was pretty miserable yesterday and still not happy today, took her ages to get to sleep for her nap but then she slept nearly 3 hours so can't complain. The boys are at school/pre-school today so am enjoying the peace and quiet.

Doh, she just hit her face on the bottom shelf of the desk, better go comfort her.
