Mel- I am happy to hear yoou have found out what Marley is allergic too, it will be an adjustment with her diet but i think once you get in the habit it will be like second nature. well hoping it is anyway. Excellent regarding that cream to clear up the Eczema! wow, what is the cream? out of all the yrs i had eczema (not bad but still irritating) i never found a cream that made it dissapear completley, only help stop the itch or stop it from getting worse.
i caught nixon commando crawling yesterday and doing push ups with his bum in the air! think we will need to go buy some gates for our stairs very soon. DH is no handy man so aking them is out of the question!
Rory- you sounds like a very busy woman atm. glad you got some sleep thismorning though, dh never gets up to Nixon, not last night the night b4 i was up many times, not sure why he just kept waking up crying. But i suppose i am not working so i can still get sleep though the day (not that i remember the last time that happened)
I hope things start looking up for you Rory your a lovely person and a great mummy, you were always the one that cheered everyone up, showed us the lighter side of things now its our turn to repay the favour to you. If at any time you ever need anything please dont hesitate to call me.
Hello everyone, hope you have a good day.
anyone in melb sick of the hot weather?? its going to be 31 today,36 tomorrow,38 sat and sunday. i seriously think melb has coped hotter weather overall then syd this summer (casue i always take note of syd weather), perth has coped a lot of hot days too, whats going on.....
Morning girls - thanks for all your kind words of support. I will just have to make sure I cook and prepare all of Marleys food, the paed said it was much easier that way, then you know exactly what is in there and just stick to good old fruit/veg/meat/fish. Many of things that contain egg and milk protein are things I wouldn't generally give her yet. She had rice last night and she loved that and I can give her porridge for breakfast with formula milk. Will have to start giving her more meat, she has had chicken and she didn't screw up her face too bad!
Rory - no allergy history in either family! Paed said it is very rare to have a baby allergic when there is no history - my baby is weird LOL!!!! Its good that Flynn doesn't have any obvious ones yet. You are right though that egg/milk allergies are the ones that children most commonly grow out of. Fingers crossed! You are such a busy women, glad you got a little bit of extra sleep this morning, sounds like you need it. How did back massage go, any improvement?
7th - what a lovely, sweet DH you have! That is such a nice thing to do. Its good that the kids see what a great dad they have. I like that there is always a first!
Nic - cream is called Elidel. It is not a cortisone, but paed said that cortisone is very safe if used in the prescribed way. He gets very angry how people get scared to use it when it is actually extremely helpful. I was very happy to hear that! I have a new cortisone to use initially called Elicon which gets applied once a day before bed. This should clear it all up in a few days, then I use the Elidel if any little breakouts occur. I can also use Zyrtec for her itching. So I have all bases covered. Will have to make sure I pack my medicine cabinet when we go away! Way to go Nixon on commando crawling!!!!! The bum in the air must look very cute! My DH isn't very handy either, think Tim the Toolman Taylor! Hot weather is starting to be a bit annoying!!! This weekend is going to be a scorcher!
Off to get my hair done this afternoon - I can't wait. My 3 hours of bliss, reading all the bad trash mags, upteen cups of coffee and some chocolates!!!! Thankfully DH is home so he can watch Marley. Chelsea is at kinder!
7th - Im so jealous of your DH, thats a lovely thing to do, i got nothing but we dont normally do anything for Valentines anyway. But a nice suprise would have been good!!
Mel - Like Nickers said, once you are concious of what Marley can and cant eat, it will be like second nature for you to make it. I make all of Lachlans food and its really not that hard. Just make up bulk and freeze. At least you know what the allergy is now and you can fix it. Lachlan has started breaking out in eczema again too.
Enjoy getting your hair done!!
Bath - i agree with what you are saying, i think if someone has a problem with someone then it should be taken up with THAT person only. There is nothing worse than hearing someone talk badly about someone else, why not just say it to them! Anyway, i hope your break from BB isnt too long!!
Well, not much happening with me here, im having yet another lazy day today, im going to head in and do the grocery shopping when DF gets home. Its just too much effort to take lachlan especially since he cant quite sit properly in the shopping trolley yet. I would prefer to do it on my own anyway!
