    Hello all,

I've finally got around to joining you. I've tried a couple of times to read all the posts to date before posting, but I keep having to settle/feed/change, and don't get to catch up.

I've got a gorgeous little boy who's 5 1/2 weeks old. He was due 31st of March, or 1st of April, so I used to post a bit in the belly buddies thread, but found it hard to keep up. I'll try and keep up with everyone now we're mums

    Here's my birth story: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...rth-story.html

In summary DS was born 25th March, 9lb 6oz, 55cm long, head circumference 37cm, after a 10-12 hour labour with 15 minutes of pushing.

    Back later

welcome tree tops! glad you had a good labour! :-) i agree trinity, the belly thread was a bit slow!
    :-)
we are having a garage sale today, so a bit busy. Chelsea didnt do her usual screaming from 9-12am last night! YAY! she slept from 6pm woke at 8 but barely opened her eyes, had a feed and went back to sleep then woke at 11, put her in bed with us and fed her back to sleep then she woke at 3, was fussy between 4 &5 and woke at 6! SOOOO happy with that. :-)

We also seem to be having a screaming/crying session around 9ish. We found that giving her a bath at this time helped to calm her a bit so not sure if you have tried that but might be worth a shot. From what I hear it is pretty normal but it is still kind of distressing to hear her so upset and struggling to find anyway to help!!

Thankfully, the last two nights, Immy has slept from 12pm-7:30am and then 11:45pm-6:50am! Not a bad effort at all.

back to a screaming night last night too. susie was up till 1:30 alternatimng between eating and screaming...up again at 5:45 till 7:40, then woke at 8:30! DH cuddled her for a bit so i could get a lil more sleep, now he's sleeping whilst i feed etc...he's taking a sick day cause he's so wiped!!

she still seems to be having wind pain etc but i've cut out the suspect foodsso just a waiting and coping game!!
sorry to hear u had bad nights with crying too Hollo and Jitterbug!

Whilst it's not good to hear about all these screaming babies, it's is good to know we're not the onlye ones. DS seems to cry most of the evening until his bath. He's pretty good at settling after that though, and then generally good overnight, thank goodness.

I had one feed overnight last night Woo hoo! We got DS to bed a bit later than usual, he was sleeping in my arms after arsenic hour, so we didn't want to wake him for his bath, but didn't want to put him to bed without the bath routine.

Anyway, last feed at 9.50pm, woke at 3.15am for a feed, back to sleep with no fuss until 6.45am! Yay!

I kept waking to his grunts and groans, and then later a swollen, leaky boob (he only had one side overnight), but generally had a good sleep. Then I got more sleep from 8am to 10am!

Are many of you getting smiles? DS is smiling in his sleep in his Ergo at the moment, but hasn't smiled at me or DH yet. I can't wait.

Sorry to hear about the unsettled nights!
Ella was hard to settle last night, coudnt get her down till ten thirty, she then slept till four, so it wasnt too bad. We have here sleeping in her cot, which she seems to like,

We have heaps of smiles here and cooing, but then Ella is eight weeks this week, she has big grins first thing in the morning, it just melts your heart.

Hollo, Ellas acne sounds like the same thing, red and rough, we were at the GP last week and she had a look, she said it was fine. It was all across both her cheeks. I have sensitive skin, so think she does too. Id go and get it checked out if your worried made us feel better

Ella dosent want me on the computer betta go

Hi and welcome TreeTops.....its great to have you here!!

I found the Belly thread hard to keep up with too, but I was internet problems, work problems and evening sickness lol now I can pop in while DS naps and try to keep up

Sounds like everyone is having a rough time with "witching hour" at the moment...not fun at all huh! DS was shocking last night with it and geez Im exhausted today. While trying to settle him to sleep on the lounge I couldnt help but think how many of you guys were doing the exact same thing....I have to say it made me feel better knowing I wasnt alone

While Josh naps I really should go do his laundry or Im gonna run out of clothes lol....just wanted to quickly ask about nappy rash (yup we have a very red bum here) since we are using cloth, I know Im not meant to use the zinc based creams....I know Moogoo was mentioned is ok for cloth and can I get it anywhere or just online???

Here's hoping we all have a better night tonight
