My mum and dad got back from their o/seas trip last sunday so we have been busy catching up with them and finalizing my grandmas memorial service which is this coming tuesday. I dare say that is when it will really hit us all even though it has been about six weeks since she passed away. Anyway they had a great time on their holiday and brought back lots of lovely pressies for us all.
Both my boys have a cold ATM and are not in the best of moods. Liam is waking during the night cause his nose is blocked and Brad is just in a foul mood in general because he is tired and snuffly.
Feeding- i have been putting off upping Liams solid meals to three as i just can't find the time to fit it in, plus i think if i give him another one he will drop a b/feed and that is the start of the end for me in terms of b/feeding. i just don't want him to stop cause that will mean he is all grown up and doesn't need his mum as much . So as it stands he if b/feeding 4 times and having 2 solids a day which are slowly increasing in quantity. When he starts to be less interested/feeding less from the boob and crying for more i will give him another solid.
Weight - i weighed him at the chemist the other day and he was 5.9kg dressed. So i guess he has put on about half a kilo since the start of august. I might tryto get him abck into the clinic to check properly though.
Sleeping - he usually has 2 sleeps during the day. The first after his morning solids for about an hour to an hour and a half and the second before his afternoon solids again for about the same time, sometimes longer. He will then sleep on average 9-9.5 hours at night. He is almost to long for the snuggle bed now. We are going away next week for 2 nights so i will put him just in his cot when we get back i don't want to confuse him by changing now then putting him back in it IYKWIM.
Liams finger insn't infected anymore but it looks as though the nail is missing at the bottom near the cuticle. He won't let me look long enough to see though so i will keep an eye on it i guess.
Movement - still only rolling front to back. he won't pull his knees under but if we put him on his belly with them there he tries to lift his upper body off the ground but has no idea of what comes next.
Emz - Congrats to Abby on her tooth, i hope she isn't biting!!
Ivana - LOL at Tallon splashing about in the bath. Don't you love the mess you end up with? Good luck with the solids if you decide to start this weekend.
Steph - I'm glad all went well with the hearing test, it must be a relief for you all.
Jen - Sorry to hear about your neighbour, it sounds as though he will be dearly missed. Lucy is so clever reaching her toes to her mouth and rolling back to front.
Wow didn' realise i had so much to say. Liam has been happily jumping in his JJumper but is telling me its food time......i think he can have custard this morning. I can't be bothered mixing up the fruit and farex.
ETA - i forgot to mention that Liam is trying to give himself his bottle of water when i feed him now- he just reminded me when i fed him. He grabs with both hands and gets it in his mouth but hasn't worked out yet that he needs to lift it up, Proud mum...can't you tell. He just looks so cute when he does it., he ended up with a jar of banana and oatmeal and ate the whole jar, little piggy!
Have a good weekend and will catch you all later
