Gloomy, miserable day today here in Sydney, isn't it? Hope your nappies are drying Liz, although I don't know how if you don't use the dryer!
Our antenatal class reunion was so much fun! Only one other baby Lucy's age, the rest are a month or so younger. It's amazing to see how much they change over that month, I spent most of the lunch trying to keep Lucy out of everything while the other babies just happily sat in their prams or on their parents' laps and watched the world go by. Lucy doesn't sit still anymore! DP commented that it was funny to see all of us without our pg bellies as well. We've decided to do a catch up every couple of months. I can't believe one couple are already TTC next month and at least one other will be TTC in Dec. Oh and Liz, out of the seven couples in our class only one had a natural, spontaneous labour. Everyone else ended up with a c/s. Two were induced and didn't progress (one was already 14 days overdue), another got to 10 cms and bubby went into distress and wasn't low enough for forceps. I didn't hear the remaining stories, I know one couple ended up with an enormous baby (and she's smaller than me) so maybe that had something to do with her c/s. Also, out of the six that were there, only two of us are still bf. One gave up when she went back to work last month.
I think the reunion was particularly good for all the DH/Ps, they don't often get together with a group of parents and bubs. They all got along well in class and even remembered each other's names.
We are off to our friend's funeral at lunch time. At least the sky is crying for him too... Must go now, plenty of work to do b4 then and Lucy is having a nap so I'd best take advantage of it.
