Sheree: Great to have you back! That is fantastic news about the baby and the car! I think Jayden is giving me previews of the “terrible 2’s” Not long till we see you now!!

Elissa: What a horrible day…but least you can see the funny side! How exciting…getting a dog!

Sara: You poor thing! I was bawling too! Thank you for sharing your experience with us, I hope you never have to go through that again! Well done on your decision with councilling, as Elissa said many couples would just give up. I hope mothers group went ok for you!

Nat: Well done with you gym efforts…I used to love going to the gym……its just not practical for me right now….with work and the house etc....I do go to pilates once a week, which I absolutely love (although my stomach muscles are so sore today!). Going with friends keeps the motivation up doesn’t it! Although when I used to go to the gym, I got more done when my friend (that joined with me) wasn’t there haha.

Thanks so much for all your support. You do't know how much i appreciate it. Sorry for making some of you cry though! I needed to get it all out.

Nat - Thanks Nat! I ticked the box for Aborginal on my SATAC application so i think that might have something to do with it. My grandmother is half aboriginal. I think that because i identified as this they are going to try a bit more harder for me to get in cause they probably want more aboriginal midwifes etc. The lady who spoke to me kept on going on about aboriginal health and all that so thats how i cottoned on that it might have something to do with it. I am not sure if she knows that i am a half caste though! Well i'm not really half caste either! I just have a splash in me!!! LOL! I am not overly phased if i don't get in anyways. I am happy at the moment to focus on my doula studies and the girls. I hope you manage to get some down time soon!

Sheree - Chrissy time is such a hectic time of the year is'nt it! We are'nt going anywhere until the 7th Jan when we got to the Gold Coast. We are just going to have Chrissy day out here and just chill out and swim in the creek and all that. Hopefully the creek has water in it! I am going to say that your Bub will be born on my birthday!! he he!

Shazz - Yes i was quite suprised when UniSA called the other day. I thought they were going to ask me about NOT going to do the STAT test the other day. I thought oh ohhh! I'm in trouble now!! But no it was a good phone call! Good luck with all your applications and stuff! I hope you get in.

Kim - Nup it was just the Public hospital. I would've loved too have been told a bit more about the things that were likely to happen to her. At least i would have known even if i was prepared.

Elissa - No noone told me anything like that. My mum (who is an AIN training to be an EEN) told me that they can have fits from the gas at that stage but that was it. Then when i relayed the story to her thismorning she said that ppl to make weird noises when they are going under. To be honest, all the preparation and words in the world could never have prepared me for it. Its a whole different thing when you see it all happening. I too had to PMSL at the Tomato sauce story! I did the exact thing to myself when i was a kid and can still remember the burn! LOL!!! You poor thing. But what more can you do but laugh hey! Thanks for you kind words mate.

Tania - We are having daily previews of the terrible 2's here!!! LOL!!! We just do our own preview back to her when the tantrums come! She can only laugh at us. Probably not the best thing but what else can you do at this stage!

Well i did'nt end up going to mother group today. I have been into town everyday this week and just wanted to go in and do the groceries rather than hang around. Plus the poor girls have been dragged out of bed early everyday this week so we could get into town on time. Not that they sleep in that far anways!!

Well better going...Briley is giving me another one of those previews!! ;-)!!!

Lachlan woke at 6am this morning which is so early for him, atleast an hour and a half too early. For that he was back in bed at 8am he was cranky, and then I had to wake him to go to swimming lessons at 9.30am, then he was down at 2pm and slept till 4.15pm. Wow unheard of for my child. I think all that shopping last week wore him out. Everytime I went near a dress shop he would scream and squeal! That's boys for ya!!!!

I have days like that sheree - all she wants to do is snuggle or sleep....not very often but they do happen.

I JUST GOT THE CUTEST NAPPIES!!!!! look up blueberry diapers and have a look at the minky pockets. I got the pink dalmation and the pink and purple/green spot - Darcy keeps rubbing her bottom lol the fabric is so soft.

Sara: I do it back to Jayden sometimes too and it makes him laugh, usually I just walk away from him.

Sheree: Jayden’s usual wake up is about 6am now….I’m up before that anyway but its nice to get ready for the day while he is still sleeping…This morning was 5.45am!

Kim: The nappies sound great! I love when Jayden is in those cuddly moods, he gets it often but not for very long.

We have our Christmas party tonight….I’m hoping its not going to be a late one! We are getting a Limo to take us there just for something different

Wade proceeded to tell me it was 5.45am that Lachlan woke too, not 6am - ohhhh SORRRYYYYY..... hehe I said to him .15mins fine me lol. Must have been the day for waking early. Today he woke at 8am so he is in the good books again. YAY!

morning all i just got out of bed @ 10 30 am OMG what a slacker but we did have the worst night in history of Ryan's short life he is still in bed now i am hoping there is no repeat of it tonight bbl i need to get some stuff done before he gets up

Tania - Oh how exciting!! I have'nt been to a Xmas party since i was pregnant with Briley!!! Have a good time hun!

Well Brent is going hunting tonight so i am going to head out to mums for the night. She got her Chrisco delivered yesterday so i am going munch out!!!

Not much planned for today. Just washing, cleaning and chillin out!

OH no Shazz.....

Darcy's unwell today too.Dunno what really, she's got all her teeth so it isn't that...he temps around 38.2 and not coming down...she snuggled on my chest this morning from 7-8.45 and then was tired again at 9.30....she's had a spew too.

I should be cleaning up this disaster zone, but I'm so tired from carrying her around I'm not!

sheree - well i really hope that lachlan has grown out of his reflux so he doesn't have to have another endo. LOla t lachlan not enjoying the shopping last week! Bummer that he got up so early, Arch has ben doing the same since it startd getting lighter earlier, the first week or so it knocked him for a 6 but he is used to it now ans still is up by 6:30 every day. Glad lachlan slept in again this morning, it must wreck you getting up so early in the first tri

shazz - ho no, what an awful night for you guys! What is keeping Ryan up all night??(just realised that might be a stupid question cause if you knew what was keeping him up at night then you'd probably know how to fix it so he slept all night.....)

sara - i hope you are starting to feel better about the whole ordeal, i can't imagine how stressful it must have been. MMMMM chrisco, we got it for a couple of years, its always so exciting the day it gets delivered!

kim - those nappies are beautiful, i am sooo jealous i always wanted to try a minkee. Oh im so sorry to hear that Darcy isn't well, i hope its just a 24 hour thing and she is okay tomorrow, hope you dont get it too, big hugs

i made some big decisions today. i have organised for Archie to go to Family Day Care for 3 hours every wednesday to give us both time away from each other, as i am getting less and less patient and more and more snappy as the days go by, poor baby. i am really scared and guilt ridden about it but i know its best for us both. I go to meet the lady on Wednesday, if i like her he will start going the week after....feels like such a huge step....am gonna see if i can find a casual job too, just maybe 10-15 hours a week. im really dreading his first day though as he has always been SO clingy with me

Elissa! Don't you dare feel guilty (points finger at you)! You do what you have to. Darcy was always very clingy too. Ask Leanne. Someone only had to look at her and she'd cry. Now she doesn't even look at me when I say "see ya". She asks me every day 'cool mum?' (school mum?) and drags her back pack to the car everytime we go out....just in case I guess lol. I was horrified that I had to 'do' that to her, but now I'm glad we did. She's a social little butterfly in just a few weeks. If you can afford it, maybe try the whole day, just so he gets used to it a bit quicker.

Jodie, if you read this I change my vote. I keep thinking of you with a little girl.....

ETA I can't get her temp under 39....what's going on?!?!?!

Poor Darcy, i dont know hwats wrong with her, but i do remember a few months back, Archie had a temp of just under 40, and i was starting to worry as he was all sweatya nd burning hot so i called the hospital and they said he'd be fine, if it kept climbing and i was worrying to call back again.

i hope it goes down soon.

i am really having 2nd thoughts about care now. How old was Darcy when she first started? im thinking that seeing as 18 months is one of the peak seperation anxiety times that he will absolutely freak and i will scar him for life!(sounds so dramatic doesn't it??) Did you stay with Darcy the fist time? How did she get used to it?

Elissa - don't feel bad darl, they need socialisation with other kids. Lachlan still cries when I leave but it is only if I leave him inside when they are playing, the days I leave him outside when they start out there in the mornings he actually says bye to me and is so happy.


I feel so sick. Everynight lately and I am meant to be going to a theatre dinner 2morrow night so I hope I don't feel sick then......

Elissa - this is the first time Lachlan has been through the seperation anxiety thing, he has been terrible since being away just recently. Glad we have missed it till now to be honest, it is horrible, but he will still be going to daycare on Monday. For me I just believe it is part of their growth. At the end of the day they will be alright.

Elissa ~ ditto what kim said don't you dare feel guilty leaving a child is part of their growth what will happen if you never leave your child/children with anybody then all of a suden they have to start school i think that would be a lot harder then now when they adapt a whole lot quicker good luck with it is a tough decision but one we all have to make eventually

sheree - im sorry you are feeling so sick, its the pits isn't it! Hope it doesn't last much longer. thanks for the encouragment for day care, i really need it, the thought of having to leave him there screaming hysterically makes me want to vomit! Wish i could be strong ike you and simplify it by saying he will still be alive and well at the end of the day, i am too much of a worry wart stress head.

shazz - thanks so much, i just wish i could skip all the hard parts of mothering! Hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight
