Well my day just took a dive....the paed from the hospital called. I have to take L in on Monday to have scans done on his little head

Trying really hard not to panic.

I swear after everything we've been through, you'd think we'd catch a break somewhere.

Have an instant headache.

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all having a great day. Been a busy one for us. Ethan hasn't had a desent sleep all day. Oh well he is asleep now so I can have a break.

I am soooooo over housework. I feel like I just get it all done and then I have to start all over. Oh well, that's life.

To all of you who are feeling down because your bubs aren't rolling yet, don't worry. It will happen when they are ready. Ethan will only roll from his tummy onto his back (because he absolutely hates tummy time).

Aww Willow . I wish I could make it all better for you. I'm sure they are just doing tests as a precaution, like you said, you and your DH have good sized heads so it is most likely just hereditary. You poor thing having to stress about it until Monday. Make sure you keep yourself busy so you're not thinking about it all the time. I hope your DH spoils you tomorrow for Valentine's Day, you deserve it!

Willow, Trish & Rebecca - Thakns so much for your advice! And you were competely right. My little man had an absaloute ball!! The child care lady said he was the happiest kid there, and would not stop playing, laughing and chatting (the complete opposite of how I thought he'd be - guess I didnt give him enough credit!) She said he made a little friend, and they ran around doing everything together! I am so proud of him, and I dont feel bad for him anymore. I bet he cant wait until next week. I am feeling sad now though cause my little man is growing up waaaaaaay too fast!! Willow - LOL about DD saying get back in the car! Cheeky thing!

Willow - I am so sorry to hear. Try really hard not to panick, they are just taking all precautions. I panicked when I thought something might have been wrong with Chelsea hips, but it was all for nothing. Thinking of you!!

Saffi - Thanks!! And Chels is exactly the same!! Will not sleep unless she's wrapped, but then sometimes she kicks herself out and cries cause she wants to be wrapped up again! LOL.

Thanks girls, I'm sure he'll be fine but it's just another added worry.

Looks like our good run has come to an end already - he's only been in bed an hour and he's squawking, haven't been able to resettle him so might get him up. *sigh*

Willow - I am sure its just a precaution that the Dr wants to run the tests. Try not to worry (but I know you will). Not even thinking about getting rid of the dummy yet. L sleeps on his side now so it stays in pretty much the whole time once he is asleep its just when he is settling that it falls out.
Becky - so pleased that Liam had a great day. Wonderful that he made a little friend. Helps to make him feel less lonely if he knows his mate will be there with him.
Rebecca - I'll keep an eye out for the long sleeved ones. We keep L's room pretty cool also. Hope you get over the cold soon. Not fair getting a cold in the middle of summer. Are you getting any of the rain NQ is having?
Trish - hope tonight is better for you too.

Becky Liam is the best lil man! So glad he had fun!

Well I have been on a very quick decline the last week! I have just gone deeper into the unkown! I am so emotional, tired and rundown! I dont have the energy for Myles and am begining to get frustrated with him when he is upset! Its breaking my heart! I went to yoga today to try to level myself out but once I get home to my messy house I feel like carp again I need someone to come clean my house and pamper me for just a day so I can hopefully feel better! Myles' giggles help a bit, but I am just lost at the moment!

Sorry just had to get it out! I know I am not the only one going through this but its still so hard!

^^^ i so hear this. i'm the same. a certain party is driving me nuts. being cute goes so far and then it's just.. argh.

add to this wanting 8 feeds already today. he's up to something. i'm exhausted and can't even fathom what should be for dinner, let alone cook it (or put clothes on! it's that pathetic)

willow - it is good to know what is going on 'on the inside' even if it is nothing. chin up, tiger!

Just a very quick one as Ryan has just fallen asleep.

Willow- try not to panic I'm sure it's just a hereditary thing and they are just making sure it's nothing serious at least they are being very vigilant and not taking anything for granted.

Trish- you poor thing where are you getting all these icky bugs from? Hope you are feeling better soon is there anyone you could get to mind the kids so you get some unbroken sleep and maybe a soak in the tub for a bit?

Ryan has been good. Gets his needles tomorrow. I saw some Farex 4+ rice cereal stuff for babies. Was just a 2 day pack for $3 so I got one to try him on in a month or so probably. Has anyone heard of it? Are they any good? May take it to his specialist appointment tomorrow and see what the paed says.

Amber - Big hugs to you . It can get so overwhelming can't it? Do you have anyone you can talk to? Sometimes it helps to let it all out to someone. Even talk to your GP if you're not feeling any better soon. Is there anyone who can babysit while you go and get something nice done for yourself? You are doing a wonderful job with Myles, he's such a cutie

Viv - A hug for you too. On days like today, don't even worry about cooking dinner! Just call for a pizza or something and don't feel guilty about it! K has been feeding frequently lately too and it is just so draining. Hang in there, I'm sure this phase will pass soon.

Celtic - Glad to hear the gorgeous Ryan is doing well. I used Farax with Joel when he was about 5 months old. Most MCHNs recommend waiting until 6 months old to feed it to them, but Joel was more than ready and my MCHN suggested giving it a go.

Becky - Hooray for Liam! What a little champion!!! I am so glad he loved it! Now you can relax and enjoy the days that he goes.

alz - IKWYM about housework. Wait until Ethan is old enough to make a mess, then your life will be a never-ending cycle of cleaning lol! Sometimes I wonder why I even bother tidying up.

K had another nap in his hammock, he woke after 40 minutes, but I was able to resettle him in there again. I haven't been able to resettle him in his cot for ages so I am very happy! I'll trial him in it tonight in the hope that he will sleep longer.

thanks Trish! Mum is going to have him for saturday arvo so DH and I can go to the movies! I have a really great CHN who is also a lactation consultant and she is a great help! And I have you guys!
By the way Myles had a stage where he would only sleep in his hammock! i was sleeping on a matress in the lounge room so when he stirred abit I would just rock him back to sleep! H e is now sleeping back in his cot and we are wrapping him now and it seems to be working!
Celtic We tried Myles on farex at 4 months but he just wasnt ready! Tehy say 6mths is best but you will know what is best for you and Ryan!
Viv! We had chinese takeout cause I just couldnt even get off the couch! How slack! But it was good to be naughty and eat something bad! DH aslo bought me home a donut so looks like I will be walking an extra half hour tomorrow!

Amber and Viv - its tough being a mum isn't it. Sometimes I wonder if someone had told me how hard it is would I still have become pregnant. Probably. Myles and James are great little men and you are fantastic mums. Have faith in yourself and take care of yourself too.

Thanks everyone about Liam! I am just too proud of him at the moment!! Little cutie. For some reason as well, it seems like his speech has improved overnight. I dont think it was ChilCare cause he was the only one who could talk really. Dunno, he just seems really clever today!

Amber & Viv I think it's pretty safe to say that pretty much every mother in the history of mothers can feel the way you do at times. It is tough, but you have to remember Number 1 (and that is you). Stay positive, I bet you are just doing the best job EVER!!

I've got my CHN appt tomorrow at 2....I'm taking bets on how much Max is going to weigh! My guess is 7.3kg....DH said 7.8kg! I am so looking forward to going! I love my CHN she is such a crack up!
