Mo - love the picture of Maddi. When she grows up to be an international star that will be the photo they show that started it all.
Rebecca - woohoo on the rolling. Life will never be the same now. You can never just plonk her down somewhere, except the floor for fear she'll roll off. Vegemite??? I'd be worried about that too. I'd personally hold off until she is eating more than farex. You said she seemed to enjoy it so why complicate it with something as strongly flavoured as vegemite. She gets all the vitamins she needs from the formula. Happy to hear DH apologised.
Viv - days like today make up for the carp days. Can't wait to see your new signature.
Trish - bummer about K's shoulder again.
Kellie - hope things get better
Willow - so happy that L is giving you a break. Hope you made the most of it.
Nickers - saw the Iron Maiden plane on the news last night. Do you ever get to go to concerts that DH works on? Hope you get the rest you need soon.
Becky - hi! Wall to floor KISS! Does he also wear the costumes and makeup? LOL
Julia - L hasn't mastered rolling from front to back yet. It sounds like any day Max will be rolling all over the place.

Nic - Hope you get some rest soon. It's horrible feeling tired all the time. I didn't end up getting the thickener, it was just too hard to get back out today. I am trialling feeding K less frequently first and will see if that makes a difference, otherwise I will go and hunt some down.

Viv - Look forward to seeing the new sig!

Mo - Awww, love the new ticker pic of Maddi!

Kellie - Big hugs to you . I'm having plenty of those days atm so I sympathise!

Julia - Just quietly I think Kieran is lazy too! I'm in noooo hurry for him to roll though. Happy 4 months to Max!

Willow - All I can say is Keep it up little L!!!

I think we have a bit of a bug. I've been feeling really nauseous and Joel was complaining he feels sick until he did a bit of a chuck earlier. Can it get any worse right now??

Nic - hope you get some rest once your DH gets home. My DH has been promoted so doesn't have to do shift work or go away anymore, but I know how hard it was without him here - he works 12 hour days (at least) and even that is tough some days, so I know how you feel!

Viv - yey! Love the good days. Very soon they'll be a lot more frequent.

Julia - L isn't rolling either yet. He rolls from his back to his side but hasn't gone all the way over yet. He tries REALLY hard when I give him a massage at night to get from his tummy to his back, but no luck yet! Happy 4 months!

Mo - that picture is too cute!!

Trish - I know!! I couldn't believe it! I can't remember the last time he slept for that long during the day. The whole day was really good, 3x sleeps, shortest was 1.5 hours and then that huge one this arvo! He's settled and resettled without much fuss at all. I've given up trying to work this boy out, I swear, after such an awful day yesterday! Not holding out much hope for tonight though We'll see how we go. I think it's really sensible to try to stretch K's feeds out a bit before trying the thickner or medication - you might not need them after all! How often is he feeding now? How long do you need to stretch him out for? Let's hope the trip to the chiro helps, it usually does so fingers crossed! I really hope you guys don't have a bug! That's the last thing you need right now! You poor thing, some days it's all just a bit too much isn't it?

Girls I'm sorry for being such a downer last night but I was just beside myself about my little man. He seems much more settled today so I guess for now I just wait and see how he goes. I have a few options left (taking him back to the osteo and a stay a sleep school) so I guess I can't give up just yet.

Only negative about today is that I had his head circ. checked again and it's still growing and is now off the chart - literally. He is well above the 97th percentile. So I called the paed at the hospital and left a message with his secretary (he runs a clinic at another hospital on tuesdays) with the measurements etc so hopefully he'll get back to me tomorrow. The clinic nurse was a little concerned too and said we'd need to keep an eye on it. If it continues they'll need to do scans on his head to make sure there's enough room for his little brain to grow

Willow that's great about L's Sleeps today, hope you get a good night's sleep as-well.
Sorry to hear about his head circ, hope he just has a larger than average head.
Both my nephews have big heads 37.5 & 38.5 at birth, they're fine & both fairly smart

Trish also hope you get a good night's sleep & really hope it's just a 24hr bug.

Thanks ladies i love that pic also, She really does love her music.
As Phil took the pic she was strumming the strings with the strap soo cute.

If ints any consolation Amara is NOT rolling either, although she was throwing her hips over today but can't get the sholders to go as well.

Sorry, mega short post as both girls have finally gone to sleep and I am going to have some ME time and watch CSI Miami.

Oh and I hate to admit it but I was/am a massive KISS fan (showingmy advanced age here) I had every KISS card and used to dress up as Gene HAAAA!!! I still have every album on vinyl LOL!

Leah - LOL. Nothing to be ashamed of!!! Im only 23 but have to admit I quite like em too! (Although I hear something about them at least once a day, so kinda have no choice - yup DH is obsessed!) DS also loves them cause he has had nothing but KISS shown to him since birth. He absaloutely loves them and can identify a KISS song from the minute it starts paying. No doubt DD will end up like that too. Cant wait 4 their concert!!

Willow - I am so sorry to hear about DS head circ. Im sure it is nothing, but its so frightening when they tell you something they are concerned about hey? Anyway, thinking of you. Hope you and your little man are fine!

Trish - I hope you fell better really soon. Nothing worse than having littleies but still feeling like crap so you just cant go and rest! Hope you all feel better soon.

I hit the 5 kg weight loss! Woot. Im really getting over dieting though. LOL.

Willow - I'm sure your DS is just fine, sorry you have something else to stress you out atm though! Hope he sleeps well for you again today.

Blurghh, I am feeling so queazy today. I definitely have a tummy bug, Joel seems to be over his now so I'm hoping mine will pass today. My house is a mess and I don't have the energy to do anything about it. BBL.

Viv - his head circ is now 45.2 (was 37.2cm at birth), it's literally off the growth charts! It's not a problem in itself, it is in proportion to the rest of him, he's a big boy, it's just that they need to monitor it in relation to his brain growth. DH and I also have huge heads apparently so it's more than likely just hereditary. Hoping to hear from the Dr today.

Trish - Yucko. Hope you're feeling better by the end of the day.

As for us, we had a better night last night. He fed at 11.30pm (later than normal because he didn't wake from his afternoon nap till 6pm), 3am and 5.30am. Fed well and straight back to sleep every time, no resettling - woot! Didn't wake till 8.10am. Hopefully this continues but will just see how he goes. Hoping for some more good sleeps today but you just never know with this boy from one day to the next...

Sorry about the self absorbed post.

I just dropped Liam at ChilCare for the first time. He was having heaps of fun as I left, playing with all the toys and other kids etc. I havent been able to stop crying (pathetic huh??) Miss him so much. And I keep worrying about the time when he realises I am not there. Will he be upset? Will he cry? I feel so bad. Im gonna pick him up about 2 I think.

Anyway, how is everyone else this morning? Glad to hear you had a bit of a better night Willow!

Becky It does get easier!! Initially it is hard - just remember the centre is always happy for you to ring to see how he is going. I rang C's daycare centre about 5 times the first day, and slowly weaned myself off completely! Congrats on the weight loss! I have given up dieting pretty much - just not enough time to plan, shop, cook, etc etc etc. But.....I did try on a pair of jeans that I wore before I was pregnant - and they pretty much fit!! A little snug still around the tummy but they do up at least! Woohoo Funnily enough though - I havent lost much if any weight! Hmmmm
Willow Good luck with the Dr! Am sure everything will be fine!
Trish I hope you start to feel better soon. Yukky having a tummy bug!
Well Caitlyn had an OK night. Down at 615, up at 1130. Then up again at 245 for a feed. Went down after taking only 90 ml so I knew I would be up sooner rather than later. And then she was so restless, kicking about etc. I just kept cuddling her and putting her dummy back in her mouth. Took her back to bed at aroound 610 - she slept until DH's alarm went off at 630. Then DH tells me......she smells like she has had a poo. Of course with my head cold - I couldnt smell a thing! Yes she had and I couldnt smell a thing. DH said that it was a good thing that I couldnt smell it! Hmmm maybe I should have checked that while she was so restless. Anyway - am off to do some work - or something like that. MWAH

Becky - the first day is the hardest, I cried too! And so did Trish! So you're not pathetic at all. You're just a mum who's used to having the company of her little man all day. I bet you find he's had a great day, had lots of fun playing with the other kids. Once you see how much they really enjoy it, you don't feel so bad. Hello, my DD saw me pull into the car park to pick her up last friday and said "Mummy, get back in the car!" LOL! Funny now, but at the time it killed me!

Trish - how is K going today?

    Hey all

Becky - I am sure Liam is having the best time. Remember you are doing this for his socialisation and also to give you sometime with little Chelsea. No doubt there will be bad days but for the most part he will have a great time. If not you can always pull him out and try again when he's a little older.
Trish - hope you feel better soon.
Willow - glad you had a better night. Hopefully you got some extra rest as well.

Up and down much of the night. DH wrapped L in a small wrap and he managed to work his way out of it and up the basinette and of course woke up when he bumped his head at the top. Then I tried just tucking him in with a sheet and again he worked his way up to the top of the basinette. Then wrapped him in the cot sheet and that worked for a while. Don't do it all the time as he gets very hot with all those layers. Got to get me a sleeping bag tho when his arms are free he knocks the dummy out of his mouth and another reason for him to cry.

Apart from that all's good here.

Saffi - that's why i'm keeping L wrapped for now! Wish I'd never given him a dummy actually, but then I don't know how settled he would be now. Have thought about getting rid of his dummy but too scared to just when things may be improving.

Good sleeps today - 1hr 40mins, then 2 hours! Wish every day was like this...

Saffi- I have the same prob with Caitlyn. Have to keep her wrapped otherwise she knocks the dummy out, gets upset etc etc. Plus she still has the whole startle thing happening so any noise makes her little arms throw around a little. I bought a sleeping bag the other day - a Bonds one with long arms. We keep the nursery pretty cool and the grobags are sleveless. So I thought I would give this one a go.
Willow- I never wanted to give C a dummy but the pressure that I was under when she was still very young to give her a dummy was ENORMOUS. So she got it and I got peace and quiet - and I'm not talking about from her! I too want to get rid of it. But when she is crying in the middle of the night and I put the dummy in and she almost instantly goes back to sleep - I thank god I have that dummy to give her.
However saying that - the fists are going into her mouth more and more! She just loves to follow her little bit of farex with her fist. And once the dummy is out - fist is in. I thought I might try her in the sleeping bag on Saturday night cause DH is home on Sunday and that gives me a chance to catch up on m sleep if I miss much.
She is getting out of her wrap sooooo quickly now. Teh angelwrap hasnt arrived from ebay just yet - wish it would hurry up!!!
Almost home time! My sinuses are KILLING me. I must have an infection - might hijack an appointment with the Dr on Friday when I take C for her needles.

    Afternoon all,

Feeling a little less nauseous now so I'm hoping I have turned a corner.

Willow - We've been having a pretty rough day, K's first sleeps were only 40 minutes and after his second one he just screamed and wouldn't be put down . For his next nap I decided to put him in the baby hammock I used to use for Joel. We had a few stops and starts, but he was in it for a total of 2 hours which is a miracle! I will keep trying the hammock and see if we have more success. I know hammocks are meant to be good for babies with reflux. So glad L is sleeping so well for you again today!!! Maybe the osteo did the trick after all.

Saffi - Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. It is annoying when it is the wrap's fault!

Becky - I sooo know how you feel about leaving Liam! How are you holding up? I hope hope he has a great time. I think after the first time it gets a bit easier.

Rebecca - Hope your cold clears up for you soon. Is it a good or a bad thing that you can't smell poo? LOL!
