Sherie- Don't apologise! We understand, we're right there paddling that little boat with ya!![]()
Morning everyone!
Another early start for us today, K wouldn't sleep past 5:30am, yuck.
Sherie - You don't need to apologise! I think we all understand. I hope your bub is on the other side of those teeth.
Ange - Woohoo to Lu for popping out two teeth at once! That will probably explain why she was so unwell, she was trying to be efficient! I hope the nights go back to normal for you soon.
Amber - Wow, how exciting you were on TV! Myles' naming day sounds like it will be lovely.
Mo - How's the new house? Are you all unpacked yet? How did Maddi go in the move?
Viv - I forgot to comment about your eBay post yesterday. How bad are the new rules? It's meant to be for "buyer protection", but come on, who owns PayPal? I never accept PayPal with my listings because of the additional fees (I do use it through my website). Think I might move my business to another auction site...
Hope you all have a great weekend(love this one!)
I read back & can't really remember anything.
Yay for all the babies getting their teeth, M is still toothless.
WTG Lu crawling on all fours, WTG Myles for crawling as-well.
Trish is K still sleeping well for you?
Nothing new or exciting to post, Move went well apart from all the stuffing around.
We have ADSL because cable doesn't run here, also had to change to Telstra because Optus doesn't service the area & we are getting Austar on Monday because Foxtel doesn't service the area.
My Sister has been admitted to Hospital, her cervix is shortening & thinning out, she 2 & half cms dilated & getting some contractions which keep getting stronger.
they're running lots of test's & monitoring her for now.
She's only 30 weeks, So hoping my little nephew will stay in there a bit longer
Sry for the Me post.
ETA-Maddi went well considering, messed up her routine but she's made herself a new one, up at 5-30-6.30am bed at 8-10pm, 1 big nap 2hr nap & if I'm lucky two 20mins naps.I liked her old routine better *lol*
Place is heaps bigger so all she does is roll every-where, Loves looking out the window at the Dogs.
All unpacked, felt like it took forever, Never realized we had so much stuff & a lot of it was Junk.

ange - with the brauer, i just gave him 1ml each time. i'm a believer in the barest minimum to get by. it is supposed to be 1ml half-hourly for two hours the first time you use it - or if you have a break. i haven't done that many doses before. i've done a 4.30 and 6.30 at best. i think it goes up to the bigger dose for 6mo.
i only use it for this pre-erupting phase, just to help calm him. if he's in real pain and very unhappy i go for the baby panadol (but not together). the other night when he was whimpering for ages and couldn't get to sleep, i went the old bonjela, baby pan and boob. worked a treat.
can't believe the guni girl has popped two fangs! *bite*

Howdy
Better night had by all. L woke up at around 9.30pm so kept him up until 11.30pm. He needed a quick dummy check at about 2 which DH did on the way back from the loo and then I fed him at 4. Brought him in with us at about 6 and we all snoozed until 7.30. DH then took him and I slept until just before 10. So feeling pretty good about things.
Guess who has a second tooth! This one is right next to the other one. The pooey nappies have decreased in number as has the drool. Hopefully that will be it for the time being. TG I'm not BF anymore as he is chomping on my finger a bit and it hurts!
Amber - hope you have a good day tomorrow. Look forward to seeing the photos.
Mo - ah the joys of moving. Hope your sister stays pg for a bit longer.
Not much else happening. L is down for a sleep so might go off and have a shower.
BBL
way to go L the fangster. ol' gums mcgee round here has stopped his 'signs' (bar the drool) and we have no teeth still.
my friend has an 8mo who's been showing the signs for months but is still lord gummington himself.
i dream of a day when james will sleep peacefully with us. no way, jose. he thinks it's rockin' party time when he hits our bed.
we tried 2t of potato with EBM today. oh my lord, what a show. you remember that scene in dumb & dumber when jim carrey is so upset he retches? that was the boy today. he held the potato in his mouth, gagged, retched, screwd up his face and cried. we tried again but it was the worst outright rejection so far. i honestly thought he'd love food. sigh. he even puts on a bit of a performance for the first mouthful of rice cereal.
pears were a farce. he only likes sucking at it through the mesh. to blazes with puree, he says!
what can we do? will i be BF the boy till he's 25????
He he Viv....M did that with baby rice! Needless to say I went straight to pumpkin, which he loves A LOT! Tomorrow I'm onto sweet potato!
Morning everyone, these early starts are killing me! K won't sleep past 6am atm. We had a pretty good night though, he slept from 8pm until 4am, had a feed and slept until 6am.
I took K to our MCHN on Friday to get checked out. He has been pretty miserable and I just don't know what's wrong with him. He's been pretty unhappy for at least 6 weeks now and I've been going nuts. He constantly rubs his right ear and cries and he is really grizzly and clingy. I am struggling to get anything done around the house and only cooked dinner once this week because I am either too exhausted by that time of day or K won't let me put him down. I have taken him to the GP to look in his ear and also one of the chiros had a look (he is a specialist in ear infections) and no one found anything wrong. I've called the MCHN line and was told if he didn't have a high temperature he won't have an infection.
Our MCHN weighed him yesterday and he is still gaining lots of weight, she checked in his mouth and said there is some swelling in his gums, but no teeth are about to appear (she said that at his 4 month check too). She said to take him back to the GP so we took him again yesterday and this GP said he has a fungal infection in his ear. How come no one else saw this??? She prescribed some ear drops and hopefully it will clear up within a week. I am so frustrated that this wasn't picked up earlier! I don't know if this is the reason why he has been so unhappy, but hopefully we will find out soon.
Sorry for the long boring post!
Viv - K hated potato too, but he liked sweet potato and pumpkin. Don't worry, James is a boy, he will develop a love for food sooner or later!
Saffi - Woohoo for L's second tooth!
Mo - How scary for your sister! How is she going?
