Hi Alison You can get stuff over the counter for roids I used to get Rectinol cream and there are a few kinds of medicated wipes that are good too, anusol is one brand, the last ones I used were chemist own brand, can't remember what the name was but they were good. I'm not sure but I think if it's a fissure thingy you can use the same things.
I don't blame you for not wanting the doc poking around up there either!!
