Hi Tilda - I have your problem during the day!!!!!! Let me know what the sleep consultant says, would be very interested. I have mothers group this week so am going to ask the health nurse about things too. We had a good night, the usual 3 hourly routine which is good after the last couple of unsettled days! I've just read in one of my books that they can go through a growth spurt at about 5 weeks and need more food so I am wondering if that's what Amelia is going through. I cant put her down without crying as we speak! She goes to sleep in my arms or on my lap and as soon as I put her down she wakes up. She's also definitely more hungry and I'm having to top her BF feeds up with a little bit of formula as she's still hungry. Oh well, will just have to ride with it for now I guess. At least she's settled during the night so far, that's something!
Hi Carmey - 9.30 pm to 2.00 am wow that's awesome lucky you! We usually put Amelia down around 10.30 pm but she's awake again at 1.30 am for her next feed and then around 4.00 am......although lately it's been slightly different times due to her day time shenanigans! Generally she's feeding every 3 hours, sometimes I get 4 out of her, last night she fed at 1.30 am but I was up for nearly an hour as she's feeding longer now (grrrr), and then she woke again at 5.00 am, DH fed her a bottle so I could sleep and then she slept again until nearly 9.00 am, bargain! I feed lying down at the morning feed too. I'm jealous about your milk supply, mine is pretty crap lately, it's great first thing in the morning but during the day it's not been as good so am having to top up with formula more and more. I only expressed 40mls yesterday! Perhaps I need to drink more, been a bit naughty with the water lately must admit! I too try not to change her nappy so as not to overstimulate and wake her too much but if it's a pooey one I do, she hates staying in a pooey nappy and I can't blame her! LOL. She generally goes back down without a fuss these days (at night anyway!) Even waking up is usually just to her making little noises rather than crying so thats good too now. How they change huh!
I think we've all got pretty much the same issues so at least we know our babies are normal ha ha!
Also TMI question, how do you know if you have hemoroids (sp?).....and can you get them even if you have a c-section? I've just noticed the last few days or so when I go to the toilet (bowel movement) it hurts a little like it's scratching.....sorry sounds gross I know. Wasn't sure if it was just because things are not as soft as when pregnant in the last few weeks or not LOL!
