I wont even weigh myself as I know I would have gained the 5kilos I lost all in a week. Was going so well until bub was admitted to hospital and I couldn't go to the kiosk so was having quick trips to the vending machine. DH couldn't come up as he could not bring the other kids (due to us been in isolation) and the stupid hospital didn't provide me anything (suppose to provide BF mothers with a meal) anyway that was my undoing. Going to get right back on the wagon after DH birthday. So disappointed Im back to where I started at a months hard work gone in less then a week.

I'm sorry to hear your bub was unwell Mildez, is all ok now?

I can't believe they didn't provide you with food, that's not right. I'd write a letter to explain what happened to prevent it happening again to another mother.

Awwww man so much to catch up on! I guess i should start appologising for all the typos to come and if my posts are all over the place as I'll be going back through the thread to catch up on everyone! I'll start by checking in on my weight loss on Monday where I recorded a loss of 600g Not bad considering I couldn't do any excercise. I weighted myself of Sunday actualy as I feeling particularly light and i had lost a huge 1.3kg's then had a glass of wine Sunday night and no surpirses but I was retaining fluid and my recorded weight loss for this week is less. Plus af has arrived so that wouldn't have helped things either.

Mildez What's going on with your bub hon? Hope everythings ok? I didn't end up doing any of the things I said I was going to such a slacker! I filled in the food diary for about 2 days and I didn't even add everything up! I just haven't had time. Doesn't it suck when your partner doesn't have a weight problem and expects you to be thin especially when they aren't supportive. I know how lucky I am! Re the workout I totally think house work is a workout. In fact I often wonder how much people could get done if instead of going to the gym they did 'real' things like build a cubby house, landscape the garden, paint the house, scrub floors etc. I guess that's why laborious have hot bods lol

Danielle I noticed that fizzy drinks are a fav of yours, have you tried mineral water In a fresh fruit juice (if you have a juicer) or add lemon and lime juice to it with Some fresh fruit chunks like a punch Bummer on the gain this week. Don't give up Though!

Dale to the weight loss thread and BB! Congrats on your huge 1st week weight loss. I also have a male/female name as do my brother and sister. Not sure why it turned out that way though? I also need to up my water. A trick I used to do years ago was make up warm tea and put it into either a 500g bottle or a 1tr bottle (glass bottles) for 1 it was like a hot water bottle in winter and 2 it was soooo easy to drink my water intake for the day. I used to make up a number of different things, lemon water, soda a bit of fennel in water (great for fluid retention) or peppermint, green, rosehip, camomile tea etc I really should start doing that again!

mitch welcome back, nothing wrong with falling off the wagon as long as you jump back on when it come by again
Lilias Boohoo to that stinking 500g gain and an even bigger boohoo for you Mildez Just jump back on girls, we will all be your cheer squad.

Jen woohoo so gald you are in this thread with me too. It's like catching up with an old friend and we both have the same motivation to loose that extra weight!

Mr Squid 2kg's! That is impressive! You were alway inspiring but I have to say that it's mighty impressive that you are still in this thread after so long and have lost 20.5kg's YAY for you and thank you for being your awsome self

leesa woohoo for a loss, it's really all that matters at the end of they day. A loss is a loss. Just reading everyones posts has gotten me all ramped up again to get on that 'loss high' 36kg after your ds holly molly woman you are amazing! How long did that take to loose?

ausgirl hello hon, I was goign to ask you about he 17 day diet, I haven't heard of it before it does kinda seem like a cut the carbs out type of thing though. have a great time at the coast and goodluck when you get back getting into your new diet.

Starlite ello ello ello there stranger! Loving my ttc gals in this thread, lets shake some butt hehehe

belfie my naught friend I am just the same lol when I am about to be good I have to finish the naughty stuff 1st, if it's in the house I will just end up eating it anyway. I'm back to my old rule of not having any naught food inthe house but if I really want somethign then I can go out and get it. I find that works well. Oh and I have hot chocolate in the pantry for a JIC cho craving as I know I can control myself around hot chocolate.

Wow, cherished, what a post!! Don't have time to reply properly now, though.

Just came in to say that I hope your bubby is better Mildez. Don't worry about your gain (if you have gained, you might find you've lost because you were stressed out?). Sometimes other things are more important. You can jump back into things and I'm sure if you've gained weight, it will come off fairly easily because you have been healthy and doing so well! And if I were you, I ouwld be getting in touch with the hospital too and telling them what happened, that is just not on!! You and your bub came as a pair, and they should have looked after you just as they looked after her!

Just a quick post, hope to BBL. .6kg loss for me today yippee! (even though that's from my increase last week so I think I've really only lost .3kg from 2 weeks ago) But either way I'm just so happy to have a loss yay!

Hope everyone else is going well!

    Hey!

Remember when I said i was going to go to Jenny Craig? Well I went last Monday evening. All sounds brillant until it works out to be $100 extra per week of food. It would not be like our groceries would be reduced because I was not as much because DH and two boys still need to eat and Alannah is starting to eat more now. The price of membership was not too bad. I would have chosen the 7 year one for about $400 with a goal of keeping to your weight for 12 months to get half the fee back! THEN......she weighed me and their scales read 79 kgs. I was shocked but she took it for being shocked that I weighed that much. In actual fact I was shocked because I knew I had lost weight because a bracelet I wear is much looser on me ( I can slide a finger in between it and my wrist whereas before it was snug around my wrist and left a mark) and some of my clothes feel looser and my belly has shrunk which I can see in the mirror.

So, I told her I would speak with the Mr.

Instead, I went home and weighed myself and the sales read 76kg, the same as they did that morning. two days later, I jumped on Wii and they said I had lost 1.8kg in the past 15 days.

THAT alone has made me decide to go it alone and not bother with Jenny CRaig!

Grrrrrr @ scammers that cost loads of money!!!!!!!!

Anyways, just needed to get that off my hopefully shrinking bust! lol

Mr Squid - BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

Best get back to my three monkeys!

Keep up the awesome work guys and remember, tomorrow is always a brand new day with brand new beginnings!

Hugs star lite, if I feel tempted I just remind myself that every bite of a naughty food pushes me further from my goal weight.

I'm a bit of a hard at$e when it comes to food though, I don't have treat meals and luckily I don't get cravings either. Food is just a fuel for my body.

Extra exercise this week might help u feel a little guilt less??

Leesa - OMG wow, that is a HUGE effort! Did you have to be really strict with your calories? I was trying to work out how much you were losing per week. I'm taking about 5-6 months to lose 11kg lol, way slacker (I am BF'ing tho I suppose - that's my excuse ). Had to larf about your hard ar$e comment. I think I'm the opposite. I'd rather eat a bit naughty & work out more, than eat super strict. Which can get me in trouble if I am in a state (i.e. injured) where I can't work out (not that I'm injured now anyway!).

Vixstar - gooooo Vix... gooooo Vix.... go V.. I.. X.. S.. T.. A.. R!!! (that's the cheerleader chant for you JIC you couldn't tell ). I think you're making great decisions and wow it does sound pretty pricey. You've got us, set yourself some nice specific goals & how you're gonna get there... and you'll be there in no time!

Starlite - aaw hun, it sux when you feel like that . I'm sorry to hear you're mad at yoursel. I reckon like Danielle said... try to work out why and then you'll be able to do something different next time. Who knows, you could use this to kickstart a huge weightloss journey and at the end you'd say, you know what, I'm so glad I had them cos it got me moving. Sometimes we have to hit rockbottom in terms of how we feel to dig ourselves out of that stoopid ol' hole (ok so I'm mixing metaphors here but hopefully you get my drift).

Cherished - hun, awesome post. How are you going this week? How is your knee? Hopefully you'll get a lovely loss once pesky AF has gone again. I know what you mean re having the naughty stuff in the house. DH and I were talking today about how much healthier our grocery shop is looking. The other thing I try to do more now is to let myself have something but only have either the recommended serving size (man, it's amazing how small that is sometimes!) or maybe even less if I think I haven't got the calories to spend IYKWIM. That way I feel I'm not denying myself and go into that deny/binge cycle which I don't wanna do. I must admit I've struggled more the last few weeks, but I'm feeling back on the wagon big time. It really helped having a loss this week.

Soooo... it's a big week for me. If I can lose more than 100g by Sat, I'm offically a "normal" BMI. Geesh am I excited or what? And then, if I can lose another half kilo, I can be down to the lowest I got between having DS & DD. And then once I go below that I'm in terroritory I ain't seen for a while! So I'm trying to use this to really motivate me as my head really fell out of the game for a week or so, and I think it really rattled my confidence more than I thought it would. I'm also starting doing zumba, first class (ever) was last week and I LOVED it. Haven't done an organised class like that since pre-kids, so I was pretty nervous. And I so don't have ANY wiggle or sway in my tushie (I'm very top-heavy, no hips) so I'm pretty crap at it, but hey, it was awesome fun. So i'm committed to doing 1 class a week .

Hope everyone else is going well

Belfie - yeah, I had to be tough with calorie intake and exercise. The only 'rest' days I had from exercise were if I was sick / injured (so a total of about 5 days during those 5 mths). For me the success lies with both the exercise and calorie restriction - they go hand in hand. I have sussed out how my body works so well that I can generally predict if I'll lose / gain or maintain weight each day (I weigh daily which helped / helps keep me on track).
Oh, and I'm 600 grams from being normal on the BMI too - so I totally get your excitement! And a big YAY for being so close to being your lightest since your first pg!! Once I hit my goal last time I lost weight anything was a bonus for me, so I kept doing what I'd been doing - and thats pretty much when my Mum went into a hospice...and the rest was history. I went into 'maintain' mode as DH was whinging I was getting too slim lol!
I've heard great things about Zumba - not that i've ever done it. I'm a Les Mills instructor so more of a body Jam girl lol - but hey - if you're having fun, burning calories its all that matters eh! You're probably better than you think you are too !

Over the weekend I also did some of those things I said I was going to do like write down all the reasons I am choosing to loose weight and I wrote a 6 month goal list with rewards for reaching them

belfie you'll loose another 100g easy peezy hon

leesa I'm sure you'll reach your normal BMI very soon too.

Must go DS needs a nappy change... can smell him from here lol yep... that'll put you all off you food!

Cherished - well done!!! A great loss!!!!!

Belfie - Yep, guessed you were chanting for me!!!! Reminded me of the Nicobate (???) advert on telly!

Leesa - that is a GREAT loss over such a short time! Did you find it tedious though counting calories though? When I went to JC she said I was to go on a 5000 calorie/day menu and that sounded like loads. I have a friend who is a zumba instructor now but before doing that she just did zumba at home and lost 30 something kgs in about 6 months!

    argh..the kiddies just woke up!

Vixstar - 5000 calories?!?!?! What the?!?!?! That's insane, I wonder if they do that to keep extra business for longer, IYKWIM. I never found counting calories tedious as I pretty much eat the same foods day in and day out - so its only the odd occasion that I'd need to enter a new food, which is no biggy - and hey, it serves me well weight loss wise so I have no probs doing it. I guess I'm quite regimented in that sense - which I 'get' that not everyone is like that (I think I'm the odd one lol!). Although I'm in the fitness industry I just do all my classes at home (in the backyard on a sunny day or in the garage on a wet day) - so pretty much stick to Body Attack, Body Pump and RPM - but I focus more so on the cardio classes.

Cherished - That is friggin' brilliant weight loss hunny! I'm so so happy for you!!!!!

Maybe it was 5000 kjs? That seems to make more sense?

Leesa - wow I'm still mighty impressed. Think I have to take a leaf from your book! I used to love doing Les Mills classes back in the "day" before I had kids (& was a buff fit triathlete ha!).

AFM well a great day, exercised, eating well. Have stuck my goal (normal BMI) up on the whiteboard. Am also gonna stick some posties around the house saying "normal BMI"... gonna work my bottie off! Tomorrow & weds - walking + an evening cycle (exercise bike) then Thurs is Zumba. fri just walking and Sat is weigh-in!

Cherished J has been coughing for 5weeks now. She was in paeds a week ago as when she coughs she can't breath and turns blue. Usually it self reverts quickly but it didn't this time and lasted 10mins. Luck we are very close to the hospital. When she was in there my diet went out the window as after 20hrs of not eating anything (as I couldn't leave her) I went to the vending machine which only had chips and chocolate. DH couldn't come up as she was in isolation and we had the other 2 kiddies. Anyway that was the undoing of it all and I have eaten what I have wanted to for a week now and I'm confident I have gained everything back I lost. Thats why I haven't posted as I could only whinge and I didn't want to do that so now I'm back and trying again. Thats after I ate 2 pieces of toast covered in butter for breakfast.
