    Morning/ well aftrenoon by the time i post ladies lol;

How are we all? Im doing ooookkkkkk, curry for dinner last night, which i dont think is toooo bad? Today i've had fruit and a pack of mini sakatas, only like 62 calories per pack so not too bad. Left over curry for lunch then not sure whats for dinner, any suggestions? Although pretty sure youre all vego's and DP is practically a carnivore lol. Might make a nice Cauli Flower & Broccli Au Gratin to go with whatever we have, its so yummy!!

Netball tonight, cant wait!! Love it. Although we didnt play last week so might take the breath out of me a bit!

    Hi girls

Ammaki whenever I want a really low cal dinner (cause I don't have many left to eat!) risotto with roast pumpkin is a winner or dh makes this yummo zucchini, pumpkin and honey dish and some secret spices that he adds and we have that with rice

I've eaten well today.... AND I 'am' having a D&C on Friday so I am going to go for a walk now with dh and get a workout in tomorrow night and hope for the best on the scales on Monday

Go Ammaki netball queen! Poop that you lost though.

cherished, fingers crossed for you on Friday. I hope it goes well. I lost 3 kg after mine! So here's hoping

Friend flew in from interstate last night, managed not to crack out the red wine and tim tams. In 2004 she and I were the same weight; she was actually a bit smaller than me, and now she's still the same size, although trying really hard to lose it. I want madly to help her but can't work out what she's not doing right. She doesn't like to weigh herself too much - she always discouraged me from doing the same, but here I am, 20kg lighter, so I think we know whose method works!

I've recognised that I have been emotional eating between blood tests and getting the results. I am just so fricken antsy about the results, so need some good strategies to avoid damage. Can anybody help?
    - Go op shopping on the way home from the hospy
    - Have a coffee with DH on the morning results are due (coffee is a real treat for me, esp if it's with him)
    - Plan a good hard workout of some sort in between. If I feel clean and healthy, it tends to help me out
    - Was thinking maybe watching movies, but too easy to blindly snack while doing it.

This morning I managed to limit the damage to a cup of instant coffee (with milk ) and two gingernut biscuits.

I played a position i dont usually play with a wholeeee lot more running; woohoo!

Foodwise had a shocking breakky but evened it out with a salad and a bit of pasta for lunch ... hopefully! DP's birthday today so no doubt i will have a piece of cake tonight will try not to eat too much bad stuff at dinner. I think my dad is doing reef & beef so probably stick to seafood? I know you're all vego's sorry lol.

I think you've got most strategies covered there Snuggly! I have no more suggestions

Hi guys. Sorry I have been quiet. I was in Bris last week for a workshop.
This week has been just average. I didn't really count my calories or anything last week and didn't exercise much while I was away. Am hoping for any loss this week (even just 0.1kg!). Am cycling to work today and have soccer tomorrow so hopefully will be even a touch down.

I watched a home video from about 6 months ago and couldn't believe my size. I really was very overweight. It helped reinforce how much weight I have lost but also that I really want to lose more.

Snuggly - what are some treats that you don't over indulge with? Coffee is a good one for me as it suppresses my appetite a bit and peppermints/boiled lollies are also good because I just won't eat that many of them. I hear you on the emotional eating. That is a big one for me. I feel down so I eat then I feel down because I over ate, so I eat......
What about getting a good massage! I am planning one for when I get down to 70kg as a reward.
Otherwise - going out dancing is a good one - you not only get reinforced for looking great in your killer bod but also get some great exercise! Otherwise go new music shopping - nothing like a great new cd to pick you up.

Cherished - I hope everything went ok on Friday. Big hugs.

Amy - Sounds like you are going well! Yay for netball.

Awwwwwww THANKS LOVELY LADIES FOR SENDING ME LOVE ON FRIDAY

I am doing good today... been working in the yard etc etc and finally the bleeding is just a light brown discharge sorry TMI!

Snugglybean I would avoid movies, they are big snack attack traps! no matter how prepared you are you always want the comfort food during a movie, especially a chick flick or teary girly movie! (but hey that might just be me) Shopping is a good idea and I would suggest organising a workout with someone... Having my friend coming over on Wed for example means that I will have to workout! hehehe, no slacking off iykwim, plus we are going to go to a yoga class or something once in a while at a gym so that will keep me committed too. A very succesful man once told me that the key to achieving 'anything' is to have someone holding you accountable ie if you want to work out make sure someone is keeping tabs on you and the best way to do that is to have them show up and basically demand that you work out hmmmmm ok that turned out sounding like a pep talk to myself sorry! Oh one more thing I often do to occupy myself is paint my nails, and really sparkle up my toe nails with funky colours, sparkles and stick on dimonties etc it's fun and you can't use your hands to eat because your nails are wet!

Ammaki you crack me up honey, how did the party go?

krysalyss I loooove your massage idea, they are my absolute fav! Friday went well apart from the tears that followed after I woke up.... but I'm all good now.

Mother Goose & Turkish Delight how are you going? Haven't seen either of you for a while, hope you are good xox

AFM, I am yet again not looking forward to getting on the scales tomorrow today I was back to 71.2 so a gain of 600grams! I am supposed to LOOSE 600 + grams!!!!! Dam it I went back through my diary and there are 3 days where I was over 1400 so no wonder! What was I thinking!!!!!!! (((smack bum inserted here))) So disappointed I feel like I've wasted not one week but 2 because I am back where I was 2 weeks ago...... Will let you know what the damage is tomorrow...

Good luck and I look forward to motivating eachother.... btw I love this thread! It's a great place to check in and keep myself honest

Welcome Mr S. I also started at 116Kg and am now 108. My goal is 80ish though.

You girls are very motivated! 30Km bike rides?! You're all doing very well. I'm plodding along nicely. Still doing PT twice a week and home sessions 5 times a week. My food is my let down but is a work in progress (she says drinking coffee and eating chocolate!). Keep up the good work guys!

    RED FACE!

While my friends are on health kicks, I have been having a "self-destruction" weekend. It probably started Wednesday morning, post blood test, then had a late meeting Thursday, and in between have had all manner of biscuits, too much coffee, not enough water, booze, booze accompanying snacks, hangover food and not heaps of sleep. I know that the scales won't be kind to me; I feel a little bit **** for putting so much junk in my body. That said, I had a really good time - reconnected with my friends, and I think it was a little bit part of my emotional process. Back on the horse tomorrow then!

Thanks everyone for your Wednesday night ideas - chezzy pops I particularly liked the nail painting idea! Also the massage - there is actually a new cheap massage place on the way home from the hospital, and I've been hanging to try it out.

Welcome Mr Sq'pa! It might help to break up your goal weight into smaller chunks, and maybe set a reward for each one you reach, like the K-Lyss is doing? Good luck, anyway!

Red Faces here too Snuggly.... went out for dinner 2 nights in a row and had a couple of glasses of wine each night too....

Mother Goose great to hear from you it sounds like you are still doing great working out! with the food it really can be hard.... I love finding things which are lower cal to substitute with like my yummo low fat cheesecake flavoured yogurt and my ultraslim cherry bars YUM

    Weigh day:
    70.6kg UP to 71.9
    Body fat down by 1.2%
    Muscle up 1.5%
Calories burnt at rest up by 41 (so metabolism is increasing)
Fluid is also up by .9% (not good)
Plus not really any difference in my measurements either

Yeeeep... I would like to declare that I am VERY disappointed with myself. I am back heavier than I was after my 2nd week of calorie counting, Heck I am nearly back to where I was after just one week of calorie counting so basically the last 4 weeks have been a waste of time I know you all may say not to be so hard on myself but the scales speak for themselves and I really can't believe I let myself go over my calorie count on 3 different days this week (possible 4 or even 5 as I can only guess about the food I ate when out) I have thought about why I did that I the only reason I can come up with is that I thought I would just eat less the next day or do a bigger workout (I'm sure you've all thought that before). The lesson here for me is not to go over the calorie count thinking I will 'make it up' . Which brings me to the other valuable lesson I learnt last time I calorie counted... don't eat the food before calorie counting it... (I remember weighing everything for a meal that I had presumed would be low cal because I'd made it before etc etc and I happily ate 1st it only to find that when I actually worked it all out dh had put more of an ingredient in and the calorie amount skyrocketed! I was so disappointed that I had eaten way over the limit...... Anyway that's enough raving from me, thanks for reading and I hope everyone else has a better week than me.

Hey Cherished - I don't think you need to worry. The extra weight has to be the fluid and extra muscle. You have lost fat percentage so I think you are doing really well.
I totally understand you feel disappointed but I don't think you should feel disaapointed in yourself from your measurements. They really sound good despite the total extra on the scales.
Sending big hugs and fat burning dust your way.

I am going to weigh in now at work. From my sneak peeks this week I think I am about the same as last week but my hone scales are so shocking that it doesn't mean much - will see when I get on I guess. Chat later everyone!
