Yeah I think the book is talking about like if you just leave them to cry for long times like doing CC??
DD cries, I can't stop her from ever crying, but I try to help her however I can with whatever I think she needs which I think all of us do.

DD doesn't just feed for comfort either, I meant more the comfort sucking they do at the end of a feed, she does that. And what I was reading about this aware parenting stuff was that they don't let them do that.
