Def go and see your doctor first, didn't realise that you hadn't yet.Get a blood test and find out exactly how far along you are.
Such a hard situation for you.Best of luck, it will all work out in the end.x
wow so many good respones, i have no idea what to say, it is a hard one but the girls are right, go to the doc and then tell her, best to get it over and done with otherwise you will stress yourself out and thats not good for you and the bub. my mum wasnt happy either and wanted me to get a termination but i told her that this is my life and somewhere along the way i have to learn to make my own decisions and mistakes. in the end, when that baby is born she will never want to turn her back on you. good luck!
I just handed mum the test the first time. I was terrified, but I had to do it.
The second time (DD1) I didn't tell her I knew. I let her guess after telling her I thought I had a tummy bug & she took me to a womens health clinic thing to find out together. I didn't really have to tell her then.
I was living out of home with DH by then.
The first time i found out i was pg, 18, i wasn't living with my mum and i rang her balling my eyes out and told her my period was late. She drove in and stayed with me 1/2 the night for comfort. It ended in termination. With Brendan i rang her and she was at a function to which she shouted out to everyone that she was going to be a grandma! I was 20.
I suggest a blood test too.
AFM, didn't get into the dr, my usual one wasn't there... making an appointment with a local dr hopefully for monday!
My first ended in termination too. My mum wasn't so nice. She pretty much forced us into it. She was on our backs & a total b*tch til we gave up to get her off our backs. We were living at home then so it was hard.
She also wanted to terminate DD1, but we were out of home then so I stayed away from her.
It wasn't the best reaction. She's over it now. Sorry to share a horror story, but hopefully your mum is Ok Princess.
Ask every question you need to. Make sure you do. It's not easy, but it'll be easier if you know all you can.
i had just moved out of home and was living with DP and was three hours away from family so i rung them, dad was like oh well this kinda **** happens in life and we have to take it, so he was quite good, mum was like you need to think of the rest of your life, and she suggested i get an abortion, billy's mum had him at 20 and said that we had to get an abortion, she wouldnt say that now! she loves maddie, and billys dad was over the moon. ok there is my little story lol.
i bet so many of us are glad that we didnt listen to our mums for the reason that we might not have our children today, although we will never let our kids know not to listen to us sometimes lol.
Skye and Sally, I am so sorry you guys had to go through that.It must be very hard.I can't even imagine having to make that choice and the strength you both must have had.Skye, to be forced! That is horrible!
i was ***** scared to tel my parents as i didnt know how they would react! so we bought a little key chain that said " I LOVE GRANDMA" & wrapped it & gave it to her then she gave us the whole lecture about everything but then she got over the inital shock she calmed down & we talked about it civilised!
Im sue after the inital shock they will be fine about it..it just takes awhile to get used to!
