Michelle - I'm so sorry you've got this added worry. What would be the plan if things aren't as great as they should be? Closer monitoring of growth and flows etc?
Michelle. I'll keep that the universe backs off and leaves you alone. You have endured way too much already and certainly don't need anything else to worry about. I hope you have someone to hold your hand IRL for the scan. I'll be holding your hand from afar
Kelly Have a great time in Perth. What did you end up doing with your puppy dog? Is he going with you?
Girls I need your help My charming little boy has decided its fun to say the 4 letter "F" word. He says it if he's stuck as he hasn't got the hang of "st" and a truck is a fruck but today he sat on the lounge beside me and says "hey mum f**k" and he said it quite a few times this afternoon I just ignored him most times but if he said it in context I changed it to "oh dear" or "bugger". I know the latter isn't great either but its better than the word he is using atm.
So I guess I'm asking you all what you have done or will do in this situation
Mako - I'm sorry, it's not funny and when DD did it I actually cried. It's funny when someone else's kid does it but not yours! She heard a friend of mine say "oh for f*** sake' so that's what she was saying. In context. Regularly. Honestly, I tried everything. Telling her it was a rude word, telling her not to say it, trying to replace it with other words. The only thing that worked in the end was to ignore it plain and simple. Not react at all when she said it. It was hard but bless her she never said it in public, only at home so I avoided that embarrassment. After a week or so she completely forgot about it and has never said it since.
Michelle - oh man. I hope you've got someone to go with you to your scan.
Mako - Yep we've had this issue too. I found the best way is to ignore it too. Although with other choice words that she decided to adopt we did teach her a substitute. So in stead of her saying "oh God" she says "golly gosh"!! She did hear my mother say FandH at one point and she started using it a bit. My DH simply told her that she was supposed to say Fudge and Ice-cream instead She learnt most of her words from one weekend visit to my mother's house, needless to say we don't go there often.
Kel - Good to hear all is well.
I went to the MCHN today. Miss Eva is 7.8kgs and 72cm. We had a good talk about her sleeping issues. We've got a plan and if this doesn't work, well be off to sleep school.
Janie - Happy Birthday to Nicholas tomorrow.
Deb - I hope you are ok
Best go. We've all got sore throats and snotty noses here
Bek - I have been wondering how you're holding up. I hope the plan works. But if you do end up going to sleep school, take heart. It is haaaard but it seriously was the only thing that worked here and truly saved my sanity when I'd hit rock bottom. It made an immediate, drastic and permanent change to L's sleep patterns.
It's been a bit quiet in here, I think we are all 're-grouping' after a fairly heavy and heartbreaking period. Michelle, honestly hon, little Omar is growing (you can tell by your sore pelvis), I pray he continues to thrive and all is okay. I know you need anything extra to worry about like a hole in the head, just keep going one day at a time hon - is your besty going to the scan with you, or do you want to go alone? You know we are all in the background cheering you on, closer and closer to Omar's birth (sorry George, Omar just keep slipping out). Omar/George is a most precious piece of Greg and Greg's spirit coming right back at you, he's one special little man, so he has to be okay.
I'm way too tired to write too much tonight girls, recovering a bit from a month of visitors - but my Dad and big brother just had a weekend here for Flynn's Christening, and it was FANTASTIC to be with them, they were so helpful, and I laughed a lot all weekend, something I have not done enough of lately........
mako, we and are having the same sort of issue. I was told when I first had a positive hpt that this was the last time for him. It didn't matter how this pregnancy turns out, no more. It has added a lot of stress to the pregnancy so far. I also feel like I am being punished for my losses. I have told him that it is not a closed issue for me but that I do not want to talk like that right now. I feel like it has made me a bit distant. I know how lucky I am to have Grayson but I have always wanted more.
michelle, My high risk OB would never do the resistance test for me when I was pregnant with Grayson. He said that if the growth was spot on there was no need. There can be high resistance and even reversed flow in a "normal" pregnancy. I have my fingeres crossed for a nice big healthy Omar next week.
I'm so busy atm I barely have time to SIT at the 'puter.... am still struggling a bit, but have my appointment with the health nurse/pnd lady on Wednesday, so see what eventuates there. DH has started long service leave today, so am hoping that things will improve on many fronts....
Of course, this all pales when I think of you Michelle. As you reality keeps hitting, it's so crappy........ will give you a call Thursday hopefully when you are home. I hope you got a bit of time out while away............
Hi all. Once again, sorry for not posting in so long. My MIL has left now so I have some time to get online again. Sounds like we all need a big big right now, and I think we all deserve a trip to Tahiti!!
Jayne - It was so lovely to meet you and Claudia - she is such a cutey! Sorry again that Catherine was being a bit of a PITA. Now that we are back home she has been getting some tough love and is getting back to normal... at least until the next time we visit Nanny and she gets spoilt rotten again!! I have just been looking at your holiday pics - wow! The girls must have loved getting the photos with Cinderella etc, that's every little girl's dream!
Michelle - thinking of you constantly hun. I know that doesn't help much, but I am feeling very helpless from here. I can't believe the run you are having re the scan results. Will be thinking of you on Thurs and praying for good results.
Bek - good luck with the new sleep tactics. I hope they work, but if not, it sounds like a lot of people have had success with sleep school. I just hope you start to get some more sleep soon as I remember how difficult I found DD for the first year or so of her life when she never slept - it really does drive you crazy, and I can only imagine how much harder it must be with two other girls to look after as well.
kelly - glad to hear all is well
mako - how are things going with your DH re trying again? When is your OB appointment? It is soon now I think. Hopefully you will get some answers or at least a plan. Keep talking to DH - this is a decision that needs to be made by both of you and he needs to understand how important it is to you. I hope you can get through to him
Lee - for you too hun. Sounds like you have had a rotten time lately. I hope your appointment goes well.
Deb - your XDH never ceases to amaze me. It must be so hard for you right now. And your poor DS - he definitely doesn't sound like his normal self. I hope the psychologist is helping.
Janie - I hope Nicholas had a wonderful third birthday
We are going well - just the usual really. DD is finally in a big girl bed which I am stoked about, so DS is now in the cot and I have been busy decorating their rooms which I love! DD sleeps through the night sometimes these days and DS is usually up twice a night, but is difficult to get back down after his second night feed. He is growing soooo fast I can hardly believe it. He has his 4 month check next week and I can't wait to find out how heavy he is now.
Does anyone have any tips on which cars can fit three car seats? We are thinking of getting a new car but have no idea where to start. I drive a Forester right now and the back seat is almost entirely taken up with two car seats so we figure we may as well get one that will accommodate three car seats as we would like to have another bubba at some stage (not for a while yet though!).
BUN _ Darl, there is no stress, Catherine wasn't a PITA!!! LOL. Don't worry bout a thing. Curly was very angelic that day, but trust me, she can be a horror when she puts her mind to it. I was relieved she was on her best behaviour though. I was so glad to have met you as well! I sure am racking up the 'meeting BB girls IRL' thing! Glad you're home & settled & that Catherine has gone into the big girls bed! What a big achievement. How are all the new clothes from Myer as well??
LEE _ I'm glad that you are seeing somebody on Wednesday & also glad that DH is on leave to help take the load off. Can you talk to him openly about the things you are having problems with? Does he understand that you need some extra help or do you have to continually ask him for it? Sometimes it's just so much easier when they just use their initiative isn't it? Does that make sense? I really hope things improve for you darl. :hugs:
LISA _ Can't wait to hear all the Natalya updates!!!
AFM _ Well I went back to work today. Blah blah blah. It actually wasn't too bad I must admit, will be even better when the pay rocks in next week though! I have just itchy feet though! I'm dying to get back out in the big wide world & explore it some more! I think I caught a bug when I was away - the travel variety!!! PMSL.
Well I have to leave it there, I have a rat bag getting out of bed tonight. What is with that?
Sorry for being MIA girls. Between DH being away for a month, sickness, a broken computer and Mr B feeding 2hourly I've been slack.
Michelle: waterfalls of cuddles for you gorgeous. This is your safe place so please don't feel that you need to sugarcoat anything for us.
Jayne: looks like you guys had a sensational time. So where next?
Bek: hope the sleep improves at your place. It's bloody hard work.
Deb: totally understand the need to focus on your kids. Here for you.
Mako: I hope DS is feeling better. I saw on FB that he was sick.
Bun: we are looking at 3 seat cars also. DH flat out refuses to drive a van so it looks like a 4wd is our only option.
Willow: how is your Nan doing? I hope sleep improves at your place soon.
Freya: the sewing looked great Hun. Has sickness finally left your boys alone for a while?
Janie: is D back to 100% after his op? Hope the feeding issues are settling.
Lee: the photos of Your boy's christening are just sooooo gorgeous. I hope your appointment goes well hun.
Hi to everyone else
Well we are going well. Just tired but in the scheme of things it's no biggy. B is just feeding feeding feeding. He was weighed today and is 7.84kgs at 4 months just trying to get him to go longer than 2 hours at night. This too shall pass. We went out of dinner the other night and Mum and Dad babysat and B took a zippy cup of EBM no worries. It was so nice to have some time off.
Love Spring

You crack me up Jayne. I'm happy with it. I've been thinking about it for a while but today just decided what the heck. Had to do something with my mop before my Dirty Thirty
MICHELLE _ I'm so glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself. My health nurse once told me in order to care for a family, you need to take care of yourself. Happy Mummy=Happy Children. I know that you're far from 'happy' right now, but I'm so glad to hear you taking some positive steps in order to help yourself. The chiro did wonders for me when I was pregnant, I swear it was magical, I really hope he can relieve that pelvis pain for you as well. As for the kids, it sounds like a two-way street, ALL of you are hurting, therefore ALL your tempers are shortenend & the kids are acting out in a way to test boundaries & see how far they can go. While I completely respect that you & Greg chose a gentle parenting path, he would not be happy to know they are both turning into devils & he would want that sorted out pronto! I remember when I was in Sydney & Oscar was starting to get tired & act up a little bit, you said 'you chose the wrong parents if you think that behaviour will get you anywhere' (I can't even remember what he was actually doing, but I remember your words over it all), & Greg agreed with you - whole heartedly. I think that Greg will applaud you on the way you have conducted yourself and the children in the past month and would be incredibly proud knowing what a fantastic mother you are/have been to the kids. Don't be so hard on yourself chick, you're fantastic!
KELLY _ Tuesday is better for me as I'm working Monday, but Claudia has Kindergym on Tuesday mornings, we are home about 11:45am if you wanted to do lunch??? Just send me a text. Loving Ryann's style with the impromtu shopping & the Pandora! What a brilliant day you have had! What a really lovely thing to do! I have decided I'd love a Pandora to commemorate paying off our mortgage & starting it off with a house charm.
LEE _ Hoping your less zonked very soon!
AFM _ Feeling very under the weather today, not sure if it's because I'm brewing a cold or the pizza & booze I consumed last night......... off to breakfast with my friend tomorrow morning, the zoo with Alan's mother during the day & dinner at my sisters for my Mum tomorrow night so I sure hope I'm better tomorrow.
