I think 'easier' is personal as well.

Personally I think it is harder to 'follow' any strategy 100%, I think it's 'easier' to just go with the flow. I agree that it's hard when you are consciously thinking about what decisions you are making and what the best strategy to handle the situation is for your family. But that doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else and following something to the letter of the law is difficult as well.

It is "easy" to bring up other people's children.... but I think it would be a rare parent that wouldn't think about what they are doing and make choices based on what they think is best.

i guess that is why we are putting out our ideas and letting others choose what is right for them.
