Rory: Definately! When it's just Niall here (if DH takes Verity and Wade to a park on the weekend for example) it's a total breeze... he is so easy... if I was just at home with Niall I would feel guilty that I wasn't working hard enough! BUT add Wade and verity to the equation and all the conflicting moods make it sooo tiring! If Wade decides to throw a tanty i can't get anything done... well i can but I'll have to suffer the consequences of ignoring him, which is what I have to do daily when I need to settle/feed/nappy change niall. And verity is volatile too.... I can never quite know if she is going to be helpful or stroppy.... she is forever accusing me of only "caring about the boys". Verity and Wade are going through a phase of not being able to be sensible whilst eating at the table together Verity always starts giggling at him and he laughs for a while but then ends up screaming "DON'T LOOK AT ME!!!" and then verity screams back "I'M NOT" and meanwhile Niall is trying to settle in his room... so yes... the emotional side of things is exausting. Most days i just give up trying to do anything other than trying to keep things calm. This involves keeping a very close ear and eye out on what they are doing and anticipating conflict and nipping it in the bud before it escalates. So, to do this effectively it's best i don't leave them unsupervised for very long... which means I have to stay in the main kitchen/living area and not venture off into other rooms cleaning etc. Incredibly frustrating. 6 - 7pm is the absolute WORST time of the day which i dread. i do very little other than meet the constant needs of the kids. I don't mean to be patronising... but oh to only have a single child who isn't able to fight/argue with itself!!!! And my kids are really quite good!
