oh Tali, bringing back a lot of memories from when i first moved to melbourne!
i remember trying to go to the local shops the "short" way ie: backstreets, had NFI what i was doing and a 5min trip took 25mins! you'll gradually get used to things.
i hope you like your playgroup. ive gotta go to a new one soon when we offically move cause driving 45-1hr to get to my current one by 9.30am i dont see happening!

i have had a shocking day with Nixon today. DH has been away o/s for 6days now and i think its taking its toll on Nixon. he has been crying for most of the day, whilst i tried going to the shops and getting 1nice pic of the two boys together, never happened, he had a tantrum in the pouring rain and not long after waking from a 2.5hr nap i had to put him back to bed until he calms down because i just cannot deal with him atm!!

Nic I feel for you and really dont know how you, rory and Ali do it with new babies as well I know looking after Kai is hard enough boy can she throw a tandy now!!!! its like the closer she gets to 2 the worse she is becoming she wont have a day nap anymore wont go down at night unless she is sitting on the couch with me and just falls asleep ( sometimes this is 9.30 pm ) she wont eat dinner unless she is on my lap, and last but not least she wont sit in her pram unless she wants too which most the time she doesnt and has to walk!!! I too cant deal with her much but she wont let anyone else near her even BHL, so its all up to me... I am hoping this is all because of the move and she will settle down a bit soon... The other night we put her to bed with her bottle which is how she used to go down she cried for half hour before she was quite but when we went in to check her she had taken off all her PJ's and nappy plus wet the bed so all in all she didnt do to well...

Has anyone else got a none talker Kai will only say a few words but not many maybe 20 if where lucky, do you think I should go get her checked out?

When I droped off Zay at school today I run into his teacher so i asked how he was going and was told that he was sent out of class yesterday ( not that Zay told us this) because he was talking to much and had been given 3 warnings ( good one Zay its was only day 3) anyway the teracher asked if he has ever been assessed for a learning dissabilty, which he hasnt ( this is frecking me out a little ) anyway the teach seems to think that he has one as Zay just cant seem to remember anything ( I have know this for a while but just thought he was been a little s**t ) as he doesnt have the consentration for anything and when asked to do anything forgets what he is ment to be doing 5 mins later, he can never remember what he did at school which I have always yelled at him for as he was just there, he has to remember something but maybe he cant, I kinda feel a bit slack as for the last 3 yrs I have been getting so cranky at him as he doesnt tell me anything and when he was home last month he just would write about anything even though we did lots of things... I wonder what it is I hope its not ADD but hopefully what ever it is he can start getting the help he needs.... Not that much will be done this term as the teacher is to busy doing school reports, but it does make me wonder why no other teacher has picked this up?

Amanda - I'm actually quite looking forward to meeting this little monkey and know that all my boys are blessing and are here to teach me about myself, I think.
What a beautiful way of looking at it. That is so true. Glad the birthday gathering was fun, your cake is fantastic as always.

Maya - how is that Big Mac going down? Bet you feel like celebrating now, exams over. YEAH. How do you think you went? Looking forward to a bit of break now?

Nic - I bet Nixon misses his daddy, but that doesn't help you much! Hang in there, hopefully DH is home soon? Nixon will probably be a perfect angel when he gets home.

Tali - I love Berwick! Its so pretty and there is lots around you - good shops, restaurants, schools etc. You are doing very well with your heater. I am such a cold fish, my heater is on all the time and I can't go to bed without my electric blanket on. Fountain Gate is pretty good, has lots of shops. I haven't been there for a while. I actually like going to the shops either by myself or with ONE of the kids (not both lol!). Chelsea is like a little adult these days and wants to sit down at the sushi shop and have lunch. The toy dog sounds cute, I'm sure she will love it. Congrats on the anniversary, I'm sure you'll find somewhere yummy to visit. Chelsea used to take her nappy off all the time, so I bought some masking tape and that did the trick. Masking tape is harder to get off than sticky tape. You might want to invest in some, saves washing the sheets. Marley doesn't say too much, still alot of babble. You could always go and visit the maternal child health nurse in your area and ask them. Chelsea always forgets what she did in class, sometimes I think she just can't be bothered talking or telling me about it. She asked me one day why I always ask her about her day! I would not take that as being a problem. The teacher has made her observations in a pretty quick time, only 3 days. He is at a new school, making new friends. It will probably take him some time to adjust. If you want peace of mind, maybe take him to a GP. ADD kids tend to be very aggresive and hyper and I don't think Zayden is like that from what you have described? Try not to worry, its probably just normal behaviour.

Marley has started hair pulling! She nearly rips Chelsea's hair out she pulls so hard. Poor Chelsea was in tears the other night, it must have really hurt. I've been telling Marley that she hurt Chelsea and that is not nice, go and say sorry. She walks up and gives Chelsea a kiss and cuddle, then laughs at her. Cheeky monkey!!!! She is such a devil sometimes. Anyone else got a hair puller? And if Chelsea is not paying attention to her, she will pull her clothes to make her follow. I think she is giving payback for all the times Chelsea stepped on her and squashed her when she was a baby.

    Better get back to work!

LOL Mel not only do I have a hair puller she also bites and pinches, it such a shame she looks such an angle people always come over to her o say how cute she is and all she can do is scream in their faces its soooo embarasing all I can do and say is " can you tell she is almost 2" most people make a quick exit... You are right about Zay it is very quick to make such a remark but there might be something there it just that no one want to hear those words, disabiltys when it come to your child.... only time will tell... isnt ADHA the aggressive and Hyper kids and the ADD ones just cant constrate... I dont really know but I know they are a bit diffrent to each other but I just hope it would be neather when it come to Zay...

Tali - you should google and check it out, be careful that you don't read too much into it though. Remember that some behaviours are normal. If you need any help with contacting someone for an assessment, PM me as I work with many child psychologists who specialise in ADHD/ADD. As I said, you might need to do this to put your mind at ease.

I wonder if Marley is going to graduate to biting and pinching? Maybe that's next!

    Time to go home.

    Morning all,

Happy birthday to all the bubs born today, Kailaia and I think Samuel.

Well I had a check up the other day and the Dr said I'm boringly normal which is good as you know and he also said since my pre eclampsia started at 35-36 weeks with Cody it would most probably start around the 33-34 week mark this time if I get so to watch for signs.

We're going camping this weekend and going to do a bit of 4wding as well as it will be the last time for a while as I'm not getting and smaller and it's getting uncomfortable.

Tali Kailen my oldest has a slight learning disabitity if that's the term they like to use but not me. His reading and writing is behind the others slightly, but they have him doing stuff with teacher's aids to help him, his partially comes from hearing problems that came to light at preschool, he's been getting help for nearly two years now and gets assessed regularly to see how he is progressing. So it may not be all bad for Zay, just know that it's not your fault.

Hi Bath, Mel, Maya and Rory and Nickers.

Happy Birthday to any that I will miss over the long weekend as well.

    hugs xoxo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kailaia & Samuel - our 060606 babies!

Amanda - it's nice to be boringly normal when pregnant. 4WD while pregnant would be interesting lol!!! Enjoy your camping trip. Hope the weather is good to you.

My MIL did something really nice yesterday. On Wednesday I was asking her if she would have Chelsea on Thursday over the school holidays, which was no problem. Yesterday she went and bought tickets for her and Chelsea to see Disney on Ice!! They are going to catch the train in and Chelsea was bursting at the seams to tell me last night, she is soooo excited. She was going to race into school tomorrow to tell her teacher how lucky she is to have such a great nana. I offered to pay for the tickets but MIL wouldn't accept it. She is a pretty good MIL, which I am lucky to have.

I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
