Just quickly - GFIL passed away today, which is good, it was tormenting him. Getting slowly better.
Forgot to say, Bath - I love the career path plans. One of my booby club girls was doing that before doing the Grad Dip Psych...turns out we're doing the same course by Off Campus mode! Anyway, she loved it.
    Gotta go, kid demanding me...

Thinking of you and your DP Maya. I hope his funeral is a bonding and positive celebration too, as is often the way when a much loved person passes.

    Just briefly too...

Mel: Once Book Week fell in winter when Verity was in grade 2. She went as Lucy from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. meant she had to wear a fur coat over the top of some "English style clothes": a tartan skirt, stockings, shirt and cardigan, hair in plaits. She won the prize with it too! She was the only Lucy... there was about 50 Hermiones!!! Don't send Chelsea as Hermione from Harry Potter is all I can say! LOL I'll see if I can post a photo of Verity in her outfit in my gallery... i'll let you know when it's up. I'd offer to lend you the fur coat but it would probably be too big. Op shops can be good for them though.

better... get Niall out of the pantry!!! (His natural habitat!)

Congratulations Julie on baby Isla Kate's safe arrival....

Well lets see how I go in remembering what I have miss out on....

Nic - how scary for your mum and sister I am very glad that your niece is ok... It's scary isnt Zayden would always have temps of over 39 so unforutly I grew accustem to this and now have a BAD habit of not thinking the girls have a temp when they are 38 as it doesnt seem high compare to what Zay used to get, he was one of those babies who got so hot you couldnt touch his skin and it felt like it was on fire, even now if he gets a temp ( maybe once a year ) he get quite high temps but maybe now I will take better notice when the girls have there high temps.... Cant believe no one came and helped your mum I am in shock it so sad that this day and age even when someone is out side screaming for help we still feel we shouldnt go over and see if there is anything we could do....

Amanda - good to have you back.... I havent as yet had a chance to check out the gallery but will do right after this.... How was the wedding? I have two sisters getting married next year and the drama is already starting.... Why cant BIG familys just get along lol.... they are already getting catty as one is marring and guy who is well of and they are going to marry at the Carasel ( sp?) and the other who is 10 yrs younger is marring a blue coller worker so is having a normal wedding but all my baby sister can think about is what my other sister is going to have and what she cant have so therefore she is going to ruin her own day if she is going to go on like this...

Bath - Glad the scary day you had hasnt repeated itself Have you been to the doctor yet to find out what it could have been....sounds like the type of pain my sister get with endo I hope it wasnt anything serious, like the girls have all said you have GOT to put yourself 1st when things like that happen....

Rory - O my I would have cr@ped myself if BHL had symtoms like that!!!! Have you been to the cardio yet... Do you know any good ones my brother works with heaps and would know who is the guy to see if you want I can ask him and let you know... I hope that he is ok now and his heart has stoped racing well except for when you walk into the room of course as we all know we should still be get our DH's heart to skip a bet when we walk in

Mel - how's the costume going have you made up your mind as to what you are going to make yet...I wish they would wait for summer for these type of things it would be so much easier... Thats so cute with Marley on the stage a sign of things to come maybe LOL I have taken Zayden to many of these things, but he never dances or leaves my side unless it to buy pizza or chips..... I think I will have a different time of it next year when May is at school as she is a different kettel of fish....

Maya - I hope you are feeling a little better we have all also had this cold that just wont budge!!!! Arrr Melbourne gotta love it LOL

Well as for us BHL has just left again, the whole time he was here he did nothing but complain about the weather and how cold and cr@p vic is... Blarr blarr blarr.... the only problem is the kids all agree so now everyone keeps saying they want to go back to Qld... Not that we could move even if we wanted to... Well not for at least 2 years anyway.... I did tell him that there is no way I would move back to Cairns as its just to far up but he want to move to Beerwah on the sunshine coast... I am just hoping once the weather improves so will his attatued to where we are living....My biggest fear is the mine he is working at is thinking about going even time in the next year or so which would be great if we lived in QLD but not so good with us living here as it would mean heaps more flight, which would take away from our savings... so I guess only time will tell...
Well we went to the snow but ended up just going to mt donna buang which would have been good if I hadnt put the wrong warburton into the GPS so it took us waaaaaay out of the way up past yea ( you think this would have made us stop but no we kepted going ) we went an hour out of the way before I finely said to and very un happy BHL that we are going the wrong way... Opps it took us another hour to get there and then we only stayed for an hour if we were lucky as if was way too cold and May was screaming in the end as she was in so much pain( she has slight raynards ) so we rushed her back to the car where lucky I had packed them spare pants and socks... May couldnt even change her self as her feet were so cold the wouldnt work for her...

So we have decided that we are warm weather people... The only time the kids smiled for the camra was when BHL got them to say " We love QLDS "....So the snow trip didnt go well for my stay in Melb campane...lol I think I am on my own with that one...

    Sorry for the HUGE post....

    Love you all T

Tali - I am a warm weather person too, hate the bloody cold!!!! I am sure things will be better once it gets warmer. Everyones moods are better when its sunny! Bugger about going the wrong way, my DH would have been annoyed too lol! Gives them more ammunition that women don't know directions!! At least you got there but I must admit to hating the snow. I like the idea of proping myself in the bar with the open fire and a nice red wine Thanks for your suggestions on the dress up thread, you had some great ideas.

Bath - thanks for the suggestion, I posted a thread too asking for help, got lots of good replies. I love having so many clever women to ask! When you were posting about Music Therapy, they also do Art Therapy. I'm sure I remember a PhD student doing something in this area.

Maya - sorry to hear of GFIL's passing, hope he now can rest in peace.

Well the costume thing has been fun - NOT! Chelsea keeps changing her mind over and over again. Most of the things she wants to wear are far too cold for this weather. I agree Tali, why have them in winter! She decided finally on Pippi Longstocking (thanks to one of the suggestions on my thread). Went to Spotlight tonight after work to get some red hair spray. While walking around she found a costume for a "regal princess", well that was it! She wanted it and told me she was going to be one of the step sisters from her Cinderella DVD, Pristella I think she said her name was?? Anyway, it was just easier to buy that and just dress her in it tomorrow. She was happy and she tried it on when she got home and it looks very cute. Will try and get some pics tomorrow. Will try to be more organised next year.

Tail: come summer you'll all be complaining about the heat! LOL Melbourne does get hot y'know! Doesn't it girls?
New Years' night was a minimum of 28 or something ridiculous like that. Does it get to 40+ in Cairns??? hehe... I'll come back and copy/paste our posts about cold weather during the next heatwave... which usually occurs on the first day back at school! Hehe (just teasing )

Bath please do IF I do ever complain about the heat please please remind me how sooky I was this winter Mind you I do normally come down each year in Jan so know the weather get nice last year was great we loved it but the year before when Vic had all the fires I remember it snowed on christmas day up it the hills and it was a very cold Jan.... I just hope its not like that this year or BHL might not want to come home for his week off lol.....

Well on the topic of weather yesterday I walked to school as the sun was out we droped of Zay and were just starting our walk home when the clouds came over the wind started to blow and to top it all of it started to HAIL.... so there we were running across a muddy slippery field in HAIL... Poor Kai was crying and say ouch the whole time so I ended up picking her up so we could run faster poor little May was tring to run as fast as she could while telling me " I told you we should have used the car !! " so in typical melb style we rounded the corner to our street and the hail and rain stopped to a very light drissle and the sun came out !!!! So may hasnt stopped tell me ( and BHL on the phone ) that she no longer wants to be here and she want to go back to QLD.... As always bring on spring on bugger that bring on summer....lol

Kai is finely starting to say more words not sure if anyone else would understand her but I do and think its so cute, if you do anything for her she will either say Thanks mum or thank you which sounds more like dankmum or dankdo she has a different word for May and Zay but to me they both sound like the dogs name Jeda but she knows which one she wants plus May has worked out which sound means her name... I have been meaning to get her checked out as she doesnt say enough I dont think so will have to get my but into gear and do that next week.... Its hard when your not around other kids the same age to work out if she is on the normal level or if she is behind....

Hope you all have a great weekend...
