I also had a huge post and then Eva needed me so I left and came back and the whole thing was lost grrrrrrrr....
Hi everyone!
Carmey, hehe on the boobie slip - Hapenned to me too once, like Tilda after feeding in the car...and all of Dhs brothers have caught me at least once with a bra hanging out or I catch myself talking to them and realize that if I move eva from her burping position then they would get a full view of everything! Have you started the solids yet? I want to hear all about it. Eva stares at us eat but has not reached out for anything yet, so I am going to wait a bit - I wanted to start already but she is just getting into a good routine with the formula so I don't want to over work her system and will wait until I get back from NY to start solids (will make feeding easier on the go as well). How is everything going with you and DH?
Rose, I am glad Liam is feeling better...all the high needs stuff you describe was Eva exactly before she started the reflux meds...I think reflux babies are just a handful, as Hannah, you and I can attest to! He should get better once he is mobile and better at entertaining himself and when his digestive system is more developed. But you are really great at not stressing too much and letting him go at his pace and I think you're going to end up with a super happy little guy because he has such a great mum For the naps, I know it is stressful but maybe you can try to leave him on his belly only for naps? As long as you can see him it should be ok, no? Eva never napped until I started putting her on her belly - I used to get 20 min left and right all day, making it impossible to get anything done between that and little feeds because of the reflux, so that is just an idea since reflux babies are notorious for hating to be on their backs.
Tilda, I totally think you are not being unreasonable. DH knows that if it is not super important or work related that he had better not leave me home too many days or nights in a row...Especially during fussy periods! I get you on being a bit resentful. DH can go anywhere really but he does not, but he can and I can't since it stresses me to leave her and she needs me too much now. On the other hand I have a much more intense relationship with Eva, so you can look at it both ways, but it is exhausting especially on those difficult nights when you feel like you've been walking around with her on your shoulder for days! Just explain it to him - men really don't reason like we do, so tell him why you're upset.
Alison, can't wait to see the photos...how does that jolly jumpoer thing work? Does it attach to a door or something? Have you got pics of how it is installed? I was considering getting one too....
Eva is up - I am going to post this so it does not get lost and come back later to finish!!!!
