If it's any comfort... my acupuncturist also believes that clomid won't work for me, either. She thinks I have very low eostrogen. She thinks that FSH injections will be easier for my body to tolerate than clomid... It will be interesting to see how her thoughts match up with my test results!

From the reading I've done (and the research of a friend who works in obs), 1000mg daily of metformin isn't enough! 1500-2000mg daily is recommended for PCOS. I've still got the whole "is it really PCOS?" thing going... I'm teetering on the very edge of being overweight or in healthy weight range (give or take a kilogram!), have never been overweight, have never had acne problems, skin tags, very little trouble with body hair... I just don't seem to fit the PCOS profile! Sure I do have polycystic ovaries, but I always wonder if there's something else going on as well... which is part of why I haven't bothered increasing the metformin again. Hopefully this FS will have answers for me!
