gill77, yip they will just adjust the insulin for the meal that needs it. I had more problems with my breakfast reading than the others and ended up on 40,16,28 and 32 overnight.
Megan, if you are eating the right amounts of low GI food and are still getting readings like that then it is rather likely they will put you on insulin. It is actually sort of liberating to be on insulin because you can actually eat things without making your BSL's too high iykwim
