Hi Onemore My scan is at 130 perth time so 330 you guys time,i will be on as soon as i get home.Gosh the time goes so slow when your waiting for something.Yeh im going shopping that day after i find out,yay i cant wait.

hey everyone, just keeping you up to date. I am looking at ivf. i have contacted the westmead, but its not looking good at the price of travelling down from nth qld. it is going to be $700 each one of us and we have to go down 3 times. I dont have the financial means to pull that money. i thought it was only the one price. anyway, sorry for venting. glad that everyone is going well. will keep you all posted.

oh luvchildren..........that is a bummer.......yeah we sat down and worked out the sums as well, and it is looking like it is better to go local for IVF than down at Westmead also......after all the travelling and accomodation, then treatment......it is enarly the same amount to go through a local clinic.....plus even though we were goign to do ICSI, which is more than IVF, i also have to spend 3 months on clexane and the pill together because i cant take the pill on its own or i would get a blood clot.........think i better put a lotto on......hope it all works out for you.....and vent as much as you want.....cheers kiya

Hi Kiya & LuvchildrenYeh i can imagine how you guys are feeling it sucks when money is in the way.Um with my clinic they dont charge until the program is finish so after that you can pay it off bit by bit the charges were like $5000 but you get heaps back from medicare so it cost me $2500 in the end.Can you find a clinic that allows you to pay it off?i know i was prepared to use my credit card but thats just me because i hate waiting.You ladies will do great with IVF its now or never with this sort of thing.

Dearmum i agree totally,jump in feet first or you will never do it. If you want something bad enough you always seem to find the money. As you can imagine when we did ivf we already had 5 children and only one real income so theres not alot of money left over at the end of each week but i found it.
Well today i had an awesome day. I met Luvchildren and her hubby for the first time. It was lovely to finally put a face to the voice. I was so nervous on the way to the airport but she's just lovely and we talked like we had known each other for 10 years or more.
I will let her fill you in on the rest.

DearMum.....i wish there was up here......that sounds like and awesome way to do it, means we could have the baby sooner rather than later......which clinic did you go through ???? The clinic we are now looking into is in Toowoomba (qld) and they have a fantastic success rate in older women......the live baby ratio to treatment in older women is actually higher than a woman a few years younger, and that is what i want.......their ICSI program also has a higher success rate in older woman, which is what we are needing to do.......so hopefully soon we can do something instead of just wishing it would happen

hi ladies i just read your post and we are thinking about ivf aswell but we have to wait because our money situation is not very good atm and until all that is sorted we can start looking into it. but until then i just have to keep trying! ok talk again soon.

Mrsjac - money really is a pain isnt it.. I reacon the polies and the like should share a bit of there money around ( not like they`r not overpayed already!!!!!)
With a bit of luck you wont have to go down the IVF road.

Hi Mumof6....Yeh i have to say im the type that cant wait to long for things because i feel if i dont do it now i will never end up doing it,im the one in the family that books the holidays and makes the plans and stuff if i was to leave it all up to DH i would have a heart attack by now hehe.Its good to hear you had a chance to catch up with luv,im doing the same here in perth with some IVF ladies on the 26th im looking forward to it.i wish you guys were local.

Hi Kiya....Im glad to hear you have found a good clinic for your situation,go for it you wont regret it.I go to Concept here in Perth only because they are resonable with the payment,but yep no regrets i have my bub and another 5 frozen bubs in the freezer it does sound funny having babies in the freezer hey.Keep me posted on your progress i will look forward to it.

Hi Onemore....Im kinda thinking it maybe a boy now,yeh i keep changing my mind.I bet you cant wait for Tuesday just like me.Have you been feeling your bub move alot now?i have and on the days that i cant i get my doppler out to hear the heart beat hehe.How many kgs have you put on so far?iv put on 5.7kgs yeh i really feel like a fatty.Im loving being pregnant i just enjoy my bump,when i was pregnant with my others i didnt take must notice of my bump or how much weight ect because i was to busy with the kids as they were small then but its been 12yrs now and my kids are all teenage im really enjoying this pregnancy how about you?

hey everyone, thanks for that nice comment em. it was great having you down there. you were such a great help and there is no way we could have done anything without you. you are a great mate. thanks for everything. Yes we have started the process....... we have some obstacles... well maybe you guys can tell me what you think.. has anyone had a fibroid? well they can remove them with an electrode (burns) and shaves them off leaving scar tissue. I have a very little- smaller than 1cm one and they wanted to burn it. i have disagreed saying that scar tissue would be just as irritable than the fibroid.... anyway does that make sense? how is an egg going to implant on scar tissue? anyway... i am awaiting af... stupid thing was supposed to show up today... when that shows up if the clinic can fit me in.. I will start my journey... i still don't have the money, but hopefully i can not pay rent he he he he.... and make ends meet.... will keep you all posted....

Hi LuvchildrenIm so happy that your just going to go for it.
Hmmm fibriods i have heard of them but havnt had that problem myself,i would say go with your gut feeling if it gets worse then maybe you should burn them off but see how it goes first.With alot of the IVF price you get back from medicare i think about 80% so its not that bad.Yay so when do you start with all the drugs?its going to be a exciting time for you,one step closer to your long awaited bub.Good luck keep us posted on your progress.

Awesome news Luv......i can totally relate to the fibroids and scarring......i have endometriosis which i have already had a hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and d&c all at once....they werent able to get all of it and they dont try to get it all either...thankfully most of it was outside the uterus, not inside, but i did has some scraped off from inside....i have already found out that with endometriosis they just changed the way they do things thats all......speaking of which today i wake up with severe endo pain and was in bed most of the day......i say go with what you feel is right for you.....best of luck on your journey....kiya

ITS A BOY YEP A BOY!!!!! im soooo happy now i have boy,girl,boy,girl and back to boy its so cute.During the scan they showed me the legs and straight away i knew it was a boy i had tears in my eyes from all the excitement and my DH and my eldest daughter were so happy as they guessed boy from the begining.I have only just got home as i went straight away shopping for little blue things im now so buggered i will sleep like a baby tonight.
Hows it going ONEMORE?we need to know what your having hehe.
