DD1 was in a bassinette next to the bed or in the bed. Then in a cot in our room till she was 18 months old.
Same with DD2 except lately she sleeps with DP in a spare bed in another room so that he can do the middle of the night feed (he works late night shifts so it makes sense for him to do it when he gets home rather than me stay up till 1am) and I can get up early to DD1. That way, we all get a decent night's sleep.

Our DDs are quiet sleepers and we've always found that they actually sleep better co-sleeping with DP than they do co-sleeping with me for some reason. We think they find his snoring really comforting.
