I should have said we got an Angel Care Sound and Movement monitor before we put DD in her own room in her cot. I wouldn't (personally) have been able to sleep without it

On the noise side, I totally agree with others - just because they're making noise doesn't mean they need to be up BUT it depends on the individual whether you can sleep through it or not. I couldn't!
