Hi Sue - if the others are happy for me to stay here...than I can't see why you can't. Join the Preg after Recurrent and Late Loss thread as well. I am in that one too, as is Tildy etc. I have not joined the BellyBuddy group for exactly the same reason you mentioned. I swing between getting annoyed by peoples' naivete or jealous of it...all at the same time. I just don't feel I could be open with other women who have not dealt with a loss like mine (or yours in terms of recurrent). I feel more comfortable in this part of the forum with other women who have the same anxieties. I think you will find that most women in the TTC after recurrent, late and stillbirth never move over to the Bellybuddy - which is why we have the pregnancy thread.

Paula - would love to hear about Dunk Island. I am sure it was amazing and relaxing.

Lan - sorry to hear Melbourne has such terrible connotations for you. Maybe next time you visit, we can catch up.

Helen - I would also book the holiday. You might find by 20 weeks that you need a break. I was away with work when I hit the 20 week mark, but I had already had the big scan at 19 weeks and I was having regular movement so that helped keep me sane. Move forward with the belief that all will be well and this baby is strong and a fighter.

Jo - how is work going? I hope the nights are starting to prove a little easier.

Tildy - I also read about your bleed and I just wish you didn't have this extra stress, especially with your DH away. I hope all is well and you get good news from the dr again. Please let us know how you are doing.

I woke at 3:45 yesterday and stayed awake until 10:30pm...it is amazing that now I have finished work I bounce out of bed in the morning! Definitely psychological. Hi to all I have missed.

Hi Jo - we must have posted at the same time. I can't help with tests for Madison but have you had all the blood tests done on you? I could have a look through what Mark Umstad (who you all know I think is wonderful) ordered for me, if that will be of any help to you?

Lovely to know that Jack was included on Madison's birth certificate. Did you register Jack when he was born? We did not have this option with Nathaniel, but it would actually have been nice to know that he would be included on our other baby's certificates.

    Good morning girls,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Well I didnt have a very good day yesterday. I had some pink bleeding with bowel movement yesterday morning. Havent had any since, but I cried and cried all day yesterday. This is what exactly happened with my first loss and it just feels that it is happening again.

Had a bit of brown discharge this morning again with bowel movement, but not a lot and I have had lots and lots of bowel movement this morning - I have had diarrhoea!!!!

I dont go to my scan til Wed Week and to be honest, I know I should try and get it earlier, but I am not sure I want to know!!!!

Sorry girls, I always have issues don't I......

Lots of love to you all

Hi Sue - I hope you are ok and taking it easy. Are you resting up? Are you sure the bleed is not related to the bowel movement? That is a TMI question I know. I had small spotting at 6 weeks and it devastated me but it turned out to be nothing and it has not happened again. I also had bleeding with my preg with Nathaniel and it was about a week later when they think he passed away, so I do understand how the sight of any pink tinges is terrifying. I know it is scary, so try to rest and not over exert yourself. Scans are terrifying but they can also offer the most wonderful reassurance. Maybe call your ob and see what they suggest you do? I will say a prayer for you. Please keep us up to date with how you are doing.

Oh Sue - Katie is right, I hope you have been resting. I have had brown spotting with every pregnancy so far and only my 1st out of those developed into a miscarriage, so it can be OK, I know nothing will take away that fear, maybe you could ask your DR to do some bloods??

Girls I need you to cross everything you have for me too!! I had a temp drop to coverline 36.2 yesterday with some spotting, at 10dpo thought great all over for another month, but this morning my temp has jumped up to 36.7 still have a really small amount of brown spotting. So I am hoping like crazy it is implantation not AF on her wicked way, will see what tomorrows temp brings! Has anyone elses temp gone back up like that and still turned into AF?

    Sue, is it haemerroids?

Helen, don't need to cross anything. It's your month, it's going to happen. Say goodbye to AF for 10mths!

Katie, I’m really sorry about your mum. It’s good that the tumour is small and that it was detected early. I’m glad you’ll be able to go up and spend some time with her but take care of yourself and your little girl too.

I’m also thyroid challenged. My TSH level is about 3.3 which is considered OK by medical standards but my naturopath said that anything higher than 2 indicates a problem. She’s got me on ThyroCo. So far I haven’t seen anything different in my temps but my energy levels have improved.

Paula, my temps are really low too. Before ovulation I go from as low as 35.6 to 36.2. Before August, my temps didn’t go up after ovulation at all. But last month I managed to have a rise which ranged from 36.3 to 36.7. Still not very high, but I was more concerned about not having a clear temp shift before. You can look at my chart in my sig.

I told my stupid Obs about my low temp when we went back for Hamish’s autopsy result and he was totally uninterested.

Sue, when The Bad Thing happened to me, I had the light pink tinge but it turned redder and redder. The fact that yours turns brown seems to be OK. Fingers, toes, eyes and hair all crossed.

Helen, your chart is very dynamic. I know this is freaky to say but how about you ignore your temps and test in a few more days?

How’s my dear Jo? I’m actually typing this post in Word and will paste into BB at lunch time to save it being eaten :-)

    Hi all,

Just heard from Repromed, going to have some bloods tomorrow to check my levels.

Fingers crossed they are all OK.

Also just got a phone call from my local GP, my thyroid TSH levels are up, so I have to increase levels of thyroxine (to 150). Amazing isnt it!!! if it wasnt for me harassing them and asking for bloods all the time to check, you never know what might happen.

I also mentioned the spotting and she didnt seem concerned, but she wants me to have another test in 2 weeks to check the thyroid again.

Hammi - I have seen an endocronologist about my thyroid, he says that "providing the TSH is less than 4.5 mU/L, the thyroid values will be OK". Hope this helps.

Sue -- I know it's super tough to see spotting, believe me, but I don't want you to lose hope. First, it turned from pink one day into brown next day. This is a good thing. Plus, at your stage, they say spotting is so normal, with the placenta implanting and everything. I may not be able to take that kind of advice seriously when they give it to me, but I must believe it 100% deep down for other people, because I really think things will be okay for you. Call your doctor and explain, then you'll know that s/he knows and s/he can decide what to do. It's funny, but I really want my current pregnancy to suceed not just for me but so I can lurk around here afterwards and say "I had 3 huge, bright red bleeds in the first trimester and it was still just fine!"

Paula -- I've been hypothyroid since I was about 12, and before that I was hyPERthyroid for 4 years. So I've been taking meds for over 20 years for it. Like Sue I'm also on 100 micrograms. They test me quite often this time, since I had a late loss last time, and they're explaining every result to me. After the first test she said the hormone levels were perfect, but the TSH (hormone stimulator produced by me, not the medicine) is low, suggesting that my meds might be too high. However, she won't change them yet, as it's the hormone level that the baby needs and the TSH is not important for the baby, so no fiddling now. When they test me now it's just a blood test, but when I was 8 the ver first tests involved iodine and several hours of pumping stuff in and out of me, so as I understand it a simple blood test won't always uncover the problem. Thyroid levels are SO important for our bubs -- I've been told that if I weren't medicated I would have been infertile, but with medication I got knocked up ini 2 months, so it seems like it's at least as important as they say.

Lan -- it's great to hear that you're starting off everything with counseling and health checks etc. As soon as we decided to start TTC I called around trying to get some sort of pre-conception counseling from the doctors and such here; I took it for granted that such a thing was "normal". I was just repeatedly told "Oh, we don't do that" and "call us when you're pregnant or if you've gone 2 years of trying without getting pregnant." So please, take every opportunity you have to have a whole team around you preparing you for this most important of events!

Helen -- nope, I have never had a cycle when I dipped down and then up again and then gotten AF, because my last cycle was EXACTLY like that (with the spotting at the same time as well) and ended up with a BFP!

My shoulders and back are killing me, as we're trying to take care of our neglected garden before going to Spain tomorrow. Have you ever tried to use a hand mower to cut grass that's gotten to be about 15 cm long? We spent the whole weekend on it and the weeds are only half picked. Here's the sad part -- I think our garden is 150 square meters total.

My scan is today, 3 pm. You'll all probably be in bed when I get home, but I'll drop a post about how it went. I won't be home to see how Rozzie's went, and we won't have a computer with us because I think we need to get away from that, but I'm sending all possible positive vibes her way for Wednesday!

Thanks everyone for your good vibes, I am soooo confused right now, I so want to POAS but if I only implanted yesterday it's too early, BUT if my temps are still up tomorrow I will be and I will let you all know STRAIGHT AWAY!! after DH of course! I have tried not to get my hopes up even telling myself my temp will drop tomorrow and AF will come, but then I get this little tiger in my head saying 'No Way think POSITIVE girl!' But I guess I don't need to explain all these feelings to you girls. Bring on the morning so I know once and for all (I hope).

Tildy - good luck with your scan I hope my chart ends up like yours!

Paula - I am glad they found your thyroid problem, and now you can be on the road to fixing it, just a query, are you seeing Heather Bruce?? Just the way you described her being very straight forward sounds like her. My temps before Ov vary from 36.0 (I have had as low as 35.8)to 36.3, after ov they usually sit around 36.5 but range between 36.4 to 36.8. I hope that helps, if anyone knows how do I put my Fertility Friend chart up so you can read it? Good luck for Dec.

Sue - How are you feeling? Do you know how to put my FF chart up?? If I can work it out I will be able to show you!

Jo - I have had cyberspace steal my posts many times!! I will have to do the copy & paste thing too when I seem to have a a lot to say, because it is a bugger having to rewrite what you just did! How are you?? I hope Dec brings you joy too.

Lan - thanks for your positivity I hope your right! And yes you are on the road to a BFP too, December seems like the month!!

Katie, Cindee - How are you?

Wow, girls, I don't feel like such a freak now knowing that I am not the only one with thyroid issues. It's a bit like this forum, i'm not happy that you girls have problems too but it makes me feel less alone knowing there are others out there. It makes me a bit angry that I may have lost my babies because of this but I am trying not to dwell on it. I was being treated with B6 injections when I fell pregnant with DS for stress and a few other things and now I'm wondering if this is what helped him survive. My naturopath has put me on a special B supplement to help relax me a bit. If it was what got him through then what a little miracle he is... as if I didn't know that already after what has happened this year.

THe ladies name is Jan Saxon, she was in my exact sitation several years ago and has now made it her mission to help as many women as she can with this problem.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing about some good scan results over the next few days from tildy and rozzie and Sue still having everything crossed that your spotting is just implantation and all that other crazy PG stuff!
