Hi Girls!

Noni: OMG i hope the little bub is ok! that does sound scary! i would be so paranoid, checking and checking and checking!

yeah Leila's non breathing thing was pretty scary. it also happened when she was just born and had to go to special care with oxygen for 24 hours. so when it happened at home i was freaked out! basically when we picked her up her belly was rock hard and she was frothing at the mouth. i put her face down across my arm and whacked her back as i remember the midwife at hospy doing it to her and told DH to call the ambulance. they took 4 minutes. basically she wasnt breathing for 1 minute then she was laboured for about 10. they dont know what it was. only that it happens more often then they say. they have an umbrella term (aponea) but basically it can happen for a number of reasons. (many premmie bubs get it). and the funny thing is that it generally happens around the 4-5 week mark...after about 6 hours of monitoring in emergency we were sent home. no answers nothing.
the next day i bought a monitor and stood outside her door constantly. luckily it never happened again!

MD: geez sorry for the tough night, at the very least at least you got some validation with DH being home for the fireworks.
and wow on the room! it sounds fantastic! esp the speaker cushion! egad! i am with sherie...we had tape decks! i still remember my first ever tape: kylie minogues greatest hits!

Hayley: sounds like DH has had a pretty easy trot. and hello, you work really hard too...24/7 in fact. no lunch break, no home time, no holiday leave, AND NO PAY!. so next time he wants to pull that line out...lay it straight girl!

well our update is rather strange. and trust me i am NOT complaining, but Leila is sleeping...lots. she is having 3 sleeps a day (normally only 2 half hour cat naps) and last night she slept 13 hours. she has NEVER done this. hoping she is not coming down with something...maybe it's all the crawling tuckering her out?? and she is still sleeping ATM (put her down at 1pm...). hhmmm (man i worry when she doesnt sleep and i worry when she sleeps! LOL! the joys of being a mummy!).
