Noni, that is really scary, hope the bub is alright. I am scared of something like that happening here when we are 2 hours away from a decent hospital.
Clare, that must have been terrifying, how did you ever sleep again?
Haley, my DH has only changed a couple of dirty nappies but I prefer to do them because DH takes too long and doesn't know the tricks and is likely to end up with W's foot in it or get it wiped all over everything. I have it down to a fine (and clean) art. He does change wee nappies though. W goes to bed at 8-8.30pm so DH gets to spend a fair bit of the evening with him which is good.
Renee, I have given W those shapes lol, he likes curry and spicyish things. I would never give it to someone elses baby though, that is rude.
Pregpan, I wish we could go somewhere cool for christmas but we will probably leave it too late to make any plans and end up doing nothing
Looks like I spoke too soon about W's sleeping getting better. He was up a million times last night grizzling, wouldn't even feed back to sleep properly. I tried giving him panadol but that didn't even do anything. I think it is his teeth, but they still don't seem any closer to coming through. Sucks because the IL's are here and I have to maintain a pleasant exterior while every little thing is p!ssing me off and I would kill for a cigarette.
And just to vent before I start to digest my own stomach lining - MIL pronounces Will as Wiwl. It drives me mental. Arrgghhhhhh.

ah well, I did get 1 out of 4 LOL. When I say to him "where's Dada?" he gets this big grin on his face and says Dada, but when I say "where's mum?" he just looks at me as if to say, well I'm looking at you silly. He is also getting more adept at walking while hanging onto my legs too - which is soooo frustrating. He thinks he is clever, but I wish he wouldn't do it.
to you today.
E says mumuma and da da da but it's not actually directed at anyone, kwim? Ok the bedroom. DD has said she wants dark blues and purples, with a 'dark fairy' theme (aaah developing gothic tastes already!!). So we are going to repaint her furniture in two shades of purple and two shades of deep blue, she'll have some purple and blue gauze curtains, and the dark fairy thing is actually evolving into butterflies, because I've found quilt covers/cushions etc in that colour-way with butterflies overlaid, although one of them is a Hannah Montana quilt cover. Not quite what she asked for LOL but pretty funky AND it comes with a bolster cushion that has speakers in it (she can plug her mp3 player into it) LOL. I've also found some blue/purple butterfly silhouette wall stickers and we'll do a big purple velvet pin board, and themed scatter cushions (she has a cabin bed and we've got a mattress underneath cos she likes sitting under there so the cushions will all go down there, I might even put a gauze curtain across it so she's got a real 'nook' under there. Also haven't found one yet but I'm thinking a solid blue/purple rug, because we can't paint (rental) so that will add more colour in the middle of the room. Better get a wriggle on.
! She was born after the advent of mobile phones. How times have changed.

I have no idea how much the AK book is brand new but I like to think that I got a bargain!
