Hi girls - haven't been in this thread for awhle but it's so nice to catch up and see what other babies are doing. Will give you quick update on Mackenzie!

She said "mum mum" AGES ago but hasn't for awhile now - it's all "dad dad" and "nan nan" and a whole lot of other gibberish!! She can sit very well but isn't anywhere crawling though tonight - very excited - she moved quite a bit backwards so I guess that's a good start! She also does lots of 360's! Mackenzie also clapped hands for first time tonight - big night for us!!

Mackenzie doesn't eat any food other than breastmilk but we're learning to deal with that - not stressing too much. Have to laugh - you give her a biscuit or fruit or anything really and she'll just hold it but as soon as she has a block or toy in her hand she sucks on those like crazy! She has a tooth on the bottom with one on the way.

Does anyone here use "MAM" brand bottles? I've heard they're quite good and I might try those because she won't take a bottle either.

Can't wait to read more about other bubs!

Hi JordieC, wow go Mackenzie it has been a big night! My Maddie is much the same with the sitting well but no crawling. Re solids, Mackenzie will get there when she is ready and you are right to not stress yet. It is hard though I know and I often get a little worried. Maddie isnt overly keen on food, and really the only things she goes for is bland vege purees & toast. Doesnt like fruit much at all, which is a bit different because apparently babies have a sweet tooth lol. Not mine! They say milk is still the main source of nutrients up till the age of 12 months so still plenty of time.

Hi Jordy, great to see you pop in and give us all an update . Alister is going great apart from night wakings, which are hit and miss most nights, but enough to make me feel tired LOL. Solids are going well, but the only vege that he will let pass his lips is the rafferty's garden Spinach, broccoli, peas and apple, the rest is fruit or custard. Paige was the same and she eats everything now, so I'm not worried at all that he will be a fussy eater. Oh, he does have a chop bone when we have them too LOL.

Pregpan, I had a thought last night that Noah possibly has a few food intolerances caused by the first tummy bug stripping the gut lining - dairy intolerances are common in little ones after a bug. And this second episode is not so much tummy bug, but possibly his tummy reacting to having a normal diet again. Maybe if you started again with some very bland, low allergenic foods it may help his tummy recover some more. Don't worry about it being a permanent thing, the intolerances usually sort themselves out once the gut is back to normal.

So-so night here again LOL. He would have been fine for most of the night, only DH is on dayshift, so the alarm went off at 4am, waking him up. Before that he'd been in a solid sleep since 1.30 and I reckon he would have gone longer still. DH took his sweet time turning it off too, making it worse.

Hayley, what BCP are you on?

Well we introduced egg yesterday and all seems fine which is good. I ended up hardboiling it and then mashing the yolk with some avocado on toast.

Jordie - haven't tried those bottles, have you thought about going straight to sippy cups? That's what I did with K and she's great with it now.

Hayley - sounds like a bargain to me! When do you do all your study, are you trying to do it after Maddie goes to bed?

Gracie - I think K's poos smell like yogurt. Even when she hasn't had it for a couple of days! I got DH to do all the nappies yesterday, was very nice to let him deal with them.

Noni - how is your friend and baby going?

MD - wow, that's a big cleanout and lots of activities for you to keep busy! Glad that E had a shocker while DH was home too. Also, when you go to QE2, there is a lady that comes in each day and gives massages, definitely book yourself in for one of them, the nurses will look after E for you.

K is supposed to be going to bed, she's standing up, slapping her hands on the wall!

Arte - MIL just calls K 'baby'. I hate it, she also puts a really soppy voice on when she talks to her. It bugs DH too. And YAY for W walking!!

Cassius - oh, that story does sounds scary! Glad that L got through it fine.

Well we have swimming today. Had a bit of a shocker with K sleeping over the weekend, had very short naps and not many of them! Fingers crossed they get better, although the way she's sounding at the moment isn't good. Better go and deal with her.

    Gracie I voted for Lewis.

Pregpan yep you can vote for more then one baby, you just cant vote more then once for each baby (does that make sense lol).

Noni glad to hear your friends baby is doing better.

Hi to everyone else. I apologise for the lack of personals I will try and jump back on tonight. Its freezing here and I really need some lunch and a hot cuppa.
