ooh good, glad to hear that it's not unusual for me not to have any Braxton Hicks contractions yet... am sure the first time i get one i'm going to get the fright of my life as well!!
Mel - hhmmn, being a uni lecturer could be a good gig... although i'm afraid that i'm not qualified enough to lecture in anything!! i have an engineering degree with honours and a commerce degree, but would need to go back and do a Phd or something first i'm sure... have often thought of being a highschool maths and science teacher (would just need to do a dip ed i think).. anyway, plenty of time to think about my future over the next year!! might become a professional baby oven for the next few years if i enjoy the mummy gig!! it's quite funny.. this baby was unplanned (my DH didn't want to start trying for a while because he said that we were too young), but now he keeps asking me when we're going to have the next one - and this one isn't even out yet!! i think secretly it's just because he wants to keep going until he gets the little rugby player he was hoping for!!
Ros - sorry to hear that you're struggling with gender disappointment at the moment... hope the sex can be confirmed soon as well so that you can at least rid yourself of the uncertainty..
it's funny the things that men think about.. my DH hasn't asked many questions about my pregnancy or the birth yet, but he asked the other day if the baby would be allowed to stay up and watch the rugby with him on foxtel?! i said that i'm sure the baby would love to watch the rugby and i'll make sure i express some milk and make a night of it with my girlfriends if he's happy to sit at home on the couch with her!!
Relle - good luck with your appointment today!!
well, have my first Calm Birth course tomorrow with Diane Gardner - looking forward to it!
