Do you need to have a maternity photoshoot?
No, nobody needs a maternity photoshoot.
It’s certainly not on the list of things your baby needs. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have one.
Your body is in the middle of something amazing. You’re growing life and that’s something worth celebrating.
You may love or hate your pregnant body right now, but one day you’ll look back upon this time and miss it.
One day, you’ll think back to the feeling of your baby hiccuping in your uterus, or your bump being prodded by baby’s kicks, and you’ll miss it.
A maternity photoshoot will help you to remember this time, and gives you some great memories to look back on.

What To Wear To A Maternity Photoshoot?
Once you’ve decided to have a photoshoot and have booked in your photographer, you need to start planning what to wear.
The first thing you need to do is decide upon your location.
Are you having the photos taken at the beach or in a forest? Or perhaps you’re having them done in a photographer’s studio?
Your photographer will be able to help with all of this.
They may already have a preferred location for the shoot. They’ll know where and when to find the best light.
Once you know where the shoot will be taking place, you can start doing some research.
Take a look online, scour Pinterest and create a collection of your favourite pregnancy photography.
Think about what it is you like about the images. Pay close attention to the clothing – do you prefer some dress styles to others?
Think about how you’ll have your hair on the day and whether you’ll be wearing any accessories.
Remember, you don’t need to limit yourself to one outfit. If you can afford it, you can be photographed in a selection of outfits.
You might want a tight-fitting dress to get a gorgeous shot of your pregnant silhouette. But then you’d like a flowing dress for a photo on the beach.
